Stayed here for one night. The room was clean and quiet. We were greeted well by the owner showing us around and making us feel at home.
The breakfast was excellent with several choices. The service was quick and pleasant.
I gave this a three, because we had a deluxe queen room overlooking the pond. That was stretch unless I opened the small curtain over the window air conditioner. I looked at the tennis court, this is not a court that a couple would want to play on unless the bush in the middle was cut down and the grass in the cracks taken away. Nice place to stay as the effort was in the area of the room and the breakfast which was what we were looking for.

Thank you for your feedback. The Deluxe Queen Room (Room 19) has a garden view (meaning as well it is not located on the street side), and has a nice view right on the pond, with or without the A/C unit installed. It is not a deluxe room because of the garden view, but because of its features: it's a large room with a sitting area, refrigerator, microwave and jacuzzi tub. As for the tennis court, it has been closed and inactive for years now, tucked away in the backyard, with a very big "no trespassing sign". We do not mention it on our website, nor on any other online listing and people CAN'T definitely use it. It is unfortunate that you looked at this closed tennis court, instead of capturing the beauty of the backyard, the pond and the brook.

My husband I were looking for a quiet spot to get away (and get some sleep) on our first night away from our 1 year-old son. I chose Cranmore Mountain Lodge because of the affordable price, proximity to North Conway (but not right on the loud main street), and positive reviews of the breakfast on TripAdvisor. Oh...and the hot tub.
This proved to be a great bargain. Our room (#1) was small but clean and comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub and the living room with a real wood fire in the evening. The location was perfect - serene but 5 min to downtown North Conway. We were given a "Dining Card" that got us 10% off at local restaurants - we used it at Moat Mountain.
The breakfast was lovely and filling. They have a sunlit dinning room. There is a menu so we got to order what we wanted. I got an omelet with sausage, toast, fruit, juice, and coffee - all included in our stay.
I highly recommend this spot for couples looking for a nice spot in North Conway. It's probably not a great spot for large groups or families since the rooms are small and it has a quiet atmosphere.

Thank you for your great feedback. We are glad you liked every aspect of your stay. We have 20 rooms, all different, from small rooms for couples to large rooms and suites for families. These family rooms are not located close to the "couples" room to keep everybody's stay enjoyable. Room 1, where you stayed, is indeed very quiet as it is an "adult only" room and certainly not recommended for a family. We welcome often larger groups (renting the entire place) such as family reunions, appreciating the diversity of our rooms to please everyone in their family.

We stayed in room 6 for 2 nights and it was charming and very clean, but could use a little update. I can't say anything about the other rooms. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful and recommended us a few eaterys. We tried two of them and they were great. Breakfast was delicious and with so much options! The two common rooms were so cozy, we didn't want to leave. Very good base for exploring the surrounding area, whether you want to do shopping in the outlet, drive up Mount Washington or see the fall foliage on the Kancamagus Highway.

My family has been visiting the Cranmore since 2012 and it has become a family tradition for every Thanksgiving! The breakfast is incredibly delicious and the innkeepers are kindest people you will meet. Love it up there!

Room Tip: It's a historic B&B once owned by Babe Ruth's daughter

We stayed in the Parisian Room (#1) on the second floor for a one night stay. The location is a little further from the town center, but still conveniently close. The innkeeper, Thierry, checked us in, showed us the main public areas on the main floor and then showed us to our room. The room was nicely decorated and appointed and very clean. Although on the small side, it was perfect for 2 people and they really did utilize the space available very well. It was very quiet throughout the night and at first I thought we were one of only a few guest staying there. We had a nice restful sleep and got up the next morning for breakfast downstairs. I was amazed at all of the options available. My experience is that most B&B style places only offer a very limited menu. I had the omelette and my wife had the French toast with juices, coffee, toast, bacon and fruit. Everything was excellent as well as the service. There were several families with kids at breakfast which surprised me because of how quite things were overnight. Sitting at the window at breakfast, we could see an array of amenities outside in the back yard area such as a pool, hot tub, fishing pond and a stream. All of these would be great to enjoy during the warmer months. After breakfast, we explored the Babe Ruth memorabilia as well as the music/reading room and the rec room. Unfortunately, we had to pack up and hit the road. We certainly enjoyed everything about our stay and look forward to coming back again in the future.

Thank you so much for your excellent feedback. We are glad you enjoyed every aspect of your stay with us. We definitely welcome families and our family rooms are located away from our "adult only" rooms so that, when coming for a romantic getaway, guests are not bothered by any children! We hope seeing you again soon!
