Nicely decorated, Friendly Service....
Extensive menu...
Wife's favorite dish: Soft shell Crab...
Spider roll was a letdown as soft shell crab portion was a little small...
Shrimp and Vegetable teriyaki was large serving but mostly large veggie pieces...

Since the sale of this restaurant last year the overall experience has changed. Food is very slow to come out from the sushi bar even when the first open and have 20% occupancies. They need to hire a manager with experience or the good food will be overshadowed by the slow tedious experience!

I don't know what happened - this used to be good but we've walked out 3 times in a row. Shio has the worst service of any restaurant in the whole area. We waited 2 hours for our meal on one occasion. The entire front of house operation is clueless and there is zero management. We have tried to order by phone on numerous occasions and they never, ever pick up the phone. After another hour wait for a Diet Coke last night, we left and decided this is the last time. It's a real shame.

Ok sushi overall a 3.5/5. Place was packed on a Sunday night. Definitely call ahead for reservations, that was this did sit at the table for us we were grateful for that. But it still took 15 minutes for a server to stop by. 30 more minutes for food to arrive. If you know that going in, no big deal. Surprisingly our 4 kids waited patiently while playing drums with their chopsticks. I’m good at sushi, all over the world Tokyo, Hong Kong, SF, NY, LV Htown. Very picky about the texture and flavor of sushi rice. Always looking for grade A fish. Neither present here. Both were off, not enough vinegar and over cooked texture for the rice. Still passable and edible but definitely not top tier. Also the nigiri was not good. Thin slices and lacking in color flavor and texture. The tempura was super greasy and rolls very standard issue. Think grocery store sushi. If you must have sushi this will fill the gap but not for long.

We hadn't been here in a while. We ordered a few sushi rolls and the miso steak. The Mad Max roll was excellent -- great flavor and presentation! The Classic roll was just okay. The miso steak was very tasty, a broiled sirloin steak topped with a creamy miso sauce, with a side of white rice and some veggies and a choice of soup or salad. It was a generous portion and very tender, and half the price of what you'd pay at a downtown restaurant. The mai tai was one of the better ones I've had in a while. Service was very friendly but a bit slow. The server forgot to offer a pot of tea, and we forgot to ask. Otherwise, it was a great meal.
