After a tough day I decided I would ask my son and my girlfriend if they would like to go out for a burger. They replied with a resounding, "Yes." I gave them several choice and the winner was "Chili's" in Seabrook, NH. We arrive there around 9:15 pm and where seated by a very charming young lady. Immediately our server arrived and she was without a doubt one of the most energetic and enthusiastic individuals I have met. Happy and ready to make our night great. She offered suggestions for drinks and food. The beginning of a sweet evening. My girlfriend immediately blurted out "do you have fried pickles?" To which our server resounded, "The best." OK, we will take an order. Upon delivery of our pickles she noted "Wow, you have a huge amount, more than normal, enjoy." Enjoy, are you kidding? I cook a lot and know when something is good or just plain bad. Well, hear comes the darkness, these pickles where not crisp, the flopped, and yes, the grease dripped off them. I dumped them on the plate and in the bottom of the container they were served in was a puddle of oil. Not nice yellow clean oil, but dark brown oil. Whoops, oil burnt. We not only got bad fried pickles but we also got fried garlic. The sliced garlic they use in their pickling process. Just to note, they make their own pickles on site. My son ordered a beef burrito with rice and black beans inside of the wrap. My girlfriend order the burger and I the prime rib burrito. Out they come and it is brought to the table by two servers. I ask if the beans and rice are in his burrito. The reply, "yes, I can see them." Glasses is what she needed because there was none, in fact the check indicated they served him an enchilada. How does a beef burrito become and enchilada? Are they not two different things? Each of us who ordered the Mexican food got a side of black beans topped with diced onion. Baked beans is more like it with Mexican spice. For me two spoonfuls and my rating was a 1 that be the lowest I can give, zero would have been better. My son did not even touch his. My prime rib burrito was dry. As soon as I cut off a corner, it was not a flour tortilla texture but more of a cracker. Heck, I gonna give this a zero!! There burgers where always juicy and when you cut into it the juices would run out of the burger. Not this time. Cooked correctly but not the great burger they use to have. The servers was great and if I ever went back she would be the reason along with the manager who comped us the fried pickles from outer space. Do not know what has happened but this place food was has really slipped backwards. We had that tummy ache for a great night of good food that Chili's is know for but, it was definitely not what the doctor ordered. Very disappointed and stomach ache not healed in fact my girlfriend was ill the rest of the night. Wish I could say, doctor ordered great food and we unfortunately did not get what the doctor ordered.
