First hotel stay in over sixteen months, and these are, I hope, abnormal times, but the property needs to take it up a notch,

Usual Covid precautions seem to be in place, but that meant no breakfast. They were generous with the coffer packets, but... Towel packets, masks everywhere on the property, and very few guests.

Ice machine on 2nd floor not working, and ground floor machine difficult to locate. Bathtub had whirlpool jets, but a tiny note on the shower said they didn't work, and front desk confirmed none of them in the hotel did, but "we don't advertise them."

Place was very very clean throughout, and most if not all rooms overlook the Connecticut, which was very pretty. Amtrak (and presumably freight) runs on the other side of the river, but the AC on "Always On" mode provided enough white noise so it was not an issue, and "Always On" WAS always on, which isn't always the case; a lot of AC fans switch on and off sporadically, which is almost as bad as no white noise. Points for that.

I don't eat at hotels where I stay, but the (closed for the pandemic) restaurants looked nice.

Riverside Hotel was wonderful for our autumn weekend getaway! Our room was perfection! All rooms seem to come with a private balcony and view of the river, but we had a corner room with two walls of windows and a huge L-shaped balcony. The view of the Connecticut River highlighted by fall foliage was spectacular. The room itself was large, nicely decorated, and spotless. The king-sized sleepnumber bed was a pleasant surprise! Staff could not have been friendlier, and front desk was very helpful with local recommendations. Highly recommend.

I stayed here a week in August as a last minute vacation during social distancing. Loved it! Rooms are huge! Balcony rooms overlook the Connecticut River. It was cool and breezy enough even in the 1st week of Aug that most nights I left my balcony slider doors open. The hotel's dock gives easy access to the river. Swam in the Connecticut River almost every day. Very peaceful. Brattleboro is 5 minutes west. Keene is about 20 minutes east. If your budget allows, recommend getting balcony room. Tip - I booked on-line for a balcony room, but when I checked in at about 8 pm, only "terrace" rooms (1st floor) were available. They were able to move me to a higher floor the next night for the rest of my stay. Reception guy said that if you really want a balcony room (2nd or 3rd floor), make reservations by calling the hotel directly. Noting that the area around that southwestern corner of NH is quite rural. Quiet. Peaceful.

Hotel is Updated and very Clean. Room are very large and clean. Bathroom is renovated and very clean. Beautiful view over the river. Staff is outstanding and took all precautions amid the Corona virus epidemic. Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. 6 stars instead of 5
Thanks for the hospitality. Will definitely visit again
