On another sunny Sunday the Husband and I took a trip down to the lovely Jersey Shore for yet another delicious and fulfilling brunch buffet.
With its rich pink color against the bright sky, The Grenville Hotel proudly stood out among the other Victorian houses along the main strip. We were quickly greeted and sat at a table of our choosing, close to the edge of the porch overlooking the front yard.
Our server, Bailey, was absolutely wonderful and extremely friendly, as was everyone we encountered while dining here. Perhaps it's the crisp morning air and slight breeze or the scent of the ocean a block away that puts everyone in a great mood.
I adored the sweet decor inside the old building, with white columns along one side of the dining room and old, creaky wooden floors. The buffet consisted of your usual breakfast breads, scrambled eggs, french toast/waffles/pancakes, sausage & bacon, potatoes, as well as cheeses, salads, a chicken dish, fish, veggies and your omelet station at the end. Oh and let's not forget a bunch of different dessert options with a chocolate fountain too! In keeping true to the Husband's gluten free preference, we even brought our own bread to toast.
Considering the beautiful area, the price was perfect at $17.99 for adults ($14.99 for children). If anything, The Grenville is a charming piece of history and great place to stop in and grab a bite, whether on your way to the beach in the morning, going for a drive in the afternoon or simply just because.
PS: Don't forget you can also book rooms for an overnight stay - just remember to BYOB!
