Last Sunday, 13 of us family members met for an evening of great food, conversation and fun. We shared many different appetizers, all terrific. Our entrees ranged throughout the regular and the "gravy" menus - everyone loved their selections. The service was so friendly and accommodating, the more than 3 hours we spent was just delightful. The owner stopped by to greet and share our banter. A crooner provided some pleasant background as the evening flew by. The restaurant is BYOW & parking was convenient on street unmetered.

We've lived at the shore now for a little over a year. We've tried multiple different Italian Restaurants and this was the next one. We were very disappointed. I ordered Chicken Parm and he ordered Penne Vodka with grilled chicken and broccoli so we could both share our entrees. My chicken parm was absolutely nothing special. The sauce tasted like it was right from a can, and not homemade, which is what I was expecting. The vodka sauce has NO taste to at all. We were very disappointed and do not believe we will be going there again.

Saturday night the music reminds us of a supper club, staff is extremely attentive but the food reminded me of a family meal away from home. This is Bradley's best locals who understand the importance of supporting a corner place that keeps their clients happy.
No one rushes, no one has a hard time hearing the music, and yes many are singing the songs.
Have a glass of Your wine because it is BYOB, try the specials that they recommend, or the traditional veal parmigiana, which is thick and tasty not grizzly, and do not forget the deserts. the filling is definitely home made in that cannoli. We have never been there for a Sunday meal but everyone we have spoken to said we are missing the best.
As for the Host Lou, and his wife Diane, enough cannot be said for their warmth, and genuine concern to making you feel like you are having that family meal in their kitchen away from your home.

Tried Cerrato's for a second time. Our last visit was in 2011 (review previously posted).
Nothing much has changed. Hoping for the better.
Our dinners were just fair. Both were small portions, and boring!
Nothing to write home about at all!
Only two good things to note. Our server was attentive, and friendly.
The house salad dressing is good. Now we make it in our Vitamix at home.
The restaurant's decor just looks drab, and really looks old. Investment should be made to freshen up, and clean the place. This summer we were in restaurants in Spain with buildings 100 to 300 years old.---- All beautiful, nicely restored, and each a wow.
There are lots of fine dining along the Jersey Shore. I reviewed three great restaurants right up the block right in Bradley Beach.
Cerrato's reviews that are boldly displayed on their front windows, or out in the media certainly do not measure up to what we experienced---both times there.
Remember--------
If you going to toot your own horn, make sure you can play the music.
Go elsewhere.
Cheers! ----- Ken

The food was not inexpensive but yet 2 of the 4 people in my party were disappointed in the meal. The ravioli with lobster and shrimp was just fair and the veal saltimbocca was a little tough and an extremely small portion. It couldn't have been more than an ounce and a half of veal. The salad was poor and served with a thick carrot based tasteless "house" dressing. The pesto for the bread was dry and tasteless. It definitely needed at least more oil. The wait staff talked up how great the food was but unfortunately that was not the case. Very disappointing visit.
