Stopped here looking for Thai food in the area when picking up my girlfriends mom to come to Maine for vacation. This place is okay....nothing to rave about but wouldn't call it a 1 or 2 star restaurant either. Girlfriend and mom had Pad Thai which was good but no big flavors....very mild, almost bland. I had a tofu lo mein which again, was good but didn't have me offering a sample to others across the table. Service was good, but we had 4 different people coming to wait on us throughout the meal. Entry way carpet was very dirty and needed to be vacuumed.

Sushi is always fresh, delicious with an appealing presentation! Friendly staff. Thrilled to have this restaurant within walking distance but would definitely travel to eat at Tani!

This is a relatively new and modern looking Japanese restaurant in the heart of Glen Rock with relatively easy parking.

I tried their fish soup which was very interesting: ingredients were fresh and it was served piping hot. However it had an unusual taste, on the sweet side and with a hint vinegar. Rather cloying, actually. The portion was very large.

I let the sushi chef choose his "best "fish on offer", and his choices, although rather standard, were very fresh. For some reason the rice was not at all sticky making it a bit hard to eat with chopsticks.

The restaurant is very clean, including the men's room.

Other folks have mentioned the rather remote attitude of the waitstaff. I felt it also.

The food was perfectly acceptable, and certainly it's a very beautiful restaurant. I'm just not sure I would give it a second chance given how many good Oriental wrestaurants there are in New Jersey.
