Description: The love of family, friends and great food is a tradition for the Egoavils.Having relocated to the United States from Peru in 1992, they sought the opportunities their new home offered. El Tule was previously the home of another restaurant offering Mexican fare. The Egoavil Family has infused the eatery with a vibe all its own. El-Tule’s Mexican-Latin fusion includes traditional Mexican offerings as well as the addition of Peruvian menu items. Peruvian food has been gaining momentum among foodies across the nation, and prior to El Tule was extremely hard to find in the Delaware Valley. El Tule offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Guests may bring their own wine or alcohol of choice. Our patio is dog friendly. *Taco Tuesdays* $3 Tacos Mix & Match ... Pollo, carne asada, al pastor, chorizo, sudadero, vegetable ... Add $1 for shrimp and red snapper tacos - minimum of 2 for offer. ... *Local Wednesday* Ask for our Prix fixe three course $25

I was interested in trying a place I have yet to try and El Tule was it. A small place with indoor and outdoor seating on Main St., Lambertville.
For drinks we had the Hibiscus iced tea sweet and delicious.
Had we known tortilla chips would come with three condiments tomatillo, jalapeños and the standard poco de gallo we never would have ordered the tasty chicken tamales. For my entree I went with shrimp fajitas. A good amount of shrimp in an unexpected sauce with peppers and onions topped with sour cream and guac My companion ordered desayuno norteno and apparently enjoyed it as his plate was clean when I looked up. To finish we shared a Lucuma cake which I would strongly urge any diner to ask for since it was fabulous and not always available All this for $60 +$12 tip for the excellent service provided by Jess

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hibiscus tea was wonderfully refreshing. The ceviche was very good.
My entree of lamb stew was not good. There was a large piece of lamb that was dry and difficult to cut. This ruined my dining experience.

Meal was excellent. We sat outside and it was the perfect little spot. We brought our own wine which was promptly opened for us. We had the ceviche, guacamole, fish tacos and pork stew. It was pricey, but very worth it.

It's been several years since I started bringing people to El Tule and it continues to delight. The food is so fresh and delicious and the menu is varied enough to please anyone. Definitely start with the house guac! The outdoor seating and BYOB policy rock and the wait staff is always incredibly friendly, funny and helpful

Keep up the good work El Tule!

A great addition to the Lambertville dining scene. Outstanding food across the board. Start with a very generous serving of Civeche, either the limenos or the palteado. Ordering them medium will give you a nice bit of spice. The yucca frita is nicely crisp and not stringy at all. Spinach and crab enchiladas, red snapper and crab meat tacu tacu, and tampiquena were all prepared well and delicious. The servers are busy but remain pleasant and attentive despite the long lines. Forget wine or beer - a well stocked wine shop less than a 5-minute walk from El Tule.
