We enjoyed our breakfast at the Ritz Diner. Coffee and home fries were especially good. The decor is old fashioned, but clean and well maintained. Service was terrific. Worth a stop when you are nearby.

Returned for supper there after a long absence and was pleasantly surprised. Their menu is very large and the Service improved. Their Shrimp with bacon Club was delicious as was the Turkey Club. The German Apple Pancake is fantastic and the Turkey Bowl salad and Marion Salad are delicious. The portions are very large and the food was fresh. Their Challah with raisins is excellent. Will definitely return

Make no mistake about it, this is a “Diner”. The atmosphere is booths, tables, counter service and a bakery. The location is on one of the main streets, highway route 10, in Livingston, N.J. The prices are moderate for portions that are generally very large. The desserts are fabulous, the apple pie in particular. The quality is also consistent, usually very good. The service conforms to diner expectations, mostly very good and not so often slow. We eat here on a regular basis.

Visited The Ritz Diner because Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive ins, and Dives was there. I have to say the diner is bigger than it appears from outside. The atmosphere was pleasant and our waiter was personable. The food was good. I had baked mac n cheese, daughter had eggs benedict, and hubby had hot pastrami sandwiched between potato pancakes. It has an extensive menu: beef, chicken, veal, liver, seafood, pork, just about anything you would want. Breakfast is served all day. I had one turn off. A waiter was sweeping the carpet with a broom which I thought was wrong to be doing around food. He was across the room from me. If he were near me, I would have said something. We had an average dining experience, nothing exceptional.

The Ritz is ok but I am not a big fan. Went on a Thursday evening for dinner and it was very good - food fresh, large portions, good service. Fish dishes especially good. Salad that came with dinner was VERY large - and waitress offered to have it chopped and it was extremely tasty. (Would not recommend the matzoh ball soup - soup just warm and matzah ball had not taste.)
