Great little boutique hotel in Long Branch, NJ, situated at Pier Village, a short walk from shops, restaurants and the Atlantic shoreline. great boardwalk there for strolling. Artty and clean, with modern conveniences and free internet, as well as free parking in the parking garage out back. The ONLY downside is they use strong aromatic for cleaning and if your sensitive to smells, it can be overpowering. The windows open in the rooms, so we had fresh air. Otherwise awesome!

Room tip: They all have windows that open and face street or parking structure... all the same!

Thank you for staying and the awesome Review!
We use some eco friendly cleaners, however I know that the housekeepers can get carried out with the cleaning of the bathrooms.
We also have the scent in the corridors and Im looking into changing for those demisters.

Please do contact me directly as I would like know if it was the scent or the cleaning products so that I can look into suitable alternatives, julian@bungalowhotel.net or 201 250 9956.
Thank you
Julian

Stayed here for two nights got a rate on hotels tonight. Check in was easy room is beautiful slept beautifully. We left this morning only to come back to our bed made with dirty sheets on them. We ate chocolate which was my bday gift and it got on the sheets when I called to have them changed the front desk said sorry we don't change the linens on a two night stay!! Are u kidding??? Gross!! The front desk was so rude I finally had sheets brought up to me and made my own bed. I contacted hotels tonight where I booked the room and they contacted the hotel and said the front desk so rude as well. Hotels tonight gave me a credit back for one night so I feel better but just beware.

Good Morning Lydia,
Wishing you a Belated Happy Birthday!
Thank you for staying and I am very sorry about your experience on the second day.
With our environmental cap on, we do not change the sheets on a daily basis, unless they are dirty or requested to.
It has never been an issue before. Housekeeping had gone for the day, so we were delayed in getting upstairs and would have made up the bed for you but you did not want us to go into your room.
I do hope you will return, you have my details and I look forward to meeting you.
Best regards
Julian

Great location, just one block away from the boardwalk some rooms have sea view, we stayed in Aloha and Kahuna rooms. The rooms are great, equipped with a fridge, modern furniture, fireplace and quiet important clean. The beds are cosy and comfortable. The service is impeccable and very friendly.
The bar provides great cocktails.
We certainly would recommend this hotel

We booked the room last minute and were so happy we did! The location is very close to the boardwalk and walking distance to several great little restaurants!
The room was large and had wonderful amenities including a make up remover wipe which came in handy!!! (I hate using soap on my very sensitive eyes!) The shower was fabulous, loved that you had 2 sinks and private potty!!
The fireplace outside was the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of pinot in the evening!
Beautiful linens and thoughtful employees!

What a pleasant surprise the Bungalow ended up being. Although the website is adequate in giving you the basic information, it definitely falls short in showing the whole picture, imagine that. The hotel is actually nicer than depicted on their website, as opposed to my past experiences in picking a hotel via the internet. The rooms are much larger than portrayed, and more spacious than your average hotel, with a modern clean design. The amenities were better, an example are the free bicycles to abscond at your leisure, all the while a staff that was outrageously accommodating.

The Bungalow is for people or families that want to chill, if you want to be waited on hand and foot it may not be the place for you. It is kind of like Brooklyn (Without the hipster factor) meets the Jersey shore. One of the best parts of our stay was beginning each night at the cool bar that has access to both indoor and outdoor settings. The inside portion has a pool table, popcorn machine, and foosball table for the inclined. The music over the sound system is not the typical "any place on earth" thump, thump, but actual music from today's indie scene to the Beach Boys, nice touch. Oh, by the way, what a happy hour $5.00 cocktails and I believe less for beer. Where can you get a Johnny Walker Blue or Manhattan for $5.00 within four hours of NYC? They also put out an antipasto for the drinkers and teetotalers alike n Friday.

Although The Bungalow is not directly on the water, only one block away, they have water front access through Le Club, a beach club and restaurant. It does cost extra but on some days well worth it. The service at Le Club is terrible, so I would just order from the bar yourself and if you are hungry, go across the street to the many options available. It certainly will be quicker, since it can be up to two hours for your order to be delivered, no BS. Most of the people serving at Le Club, seem to not want to be there, except for the guys that set you up on the beach with towels, lounge chairs and umbrellas, they hustle. The beach fee also grants you access to a locker room and upper deck pool which overlooks the beach, pretty swift. Not a big pool, but great for taking a dip after going into the ocean. If you do not want to take advantage of the beach club, and the extra charge, you can pay the local beach fee to gain access, which is what we did two out of the four days that we were there.

The Bungalow made you feel like you were far away from the Jersey shore, but if you wanted to dig into the local spirit it is all at your fingertips, with over ten restaurants, various clothing stores, coffee shops and of course the legendary boardwalk activities, all within a few minutes’ walk. We are already planning our next visit. THANKS BUNGALOW STAFF!!!!, you know who you are (J,M,S,T), for making our stay extremely comfortable and fun.

Room tip: The Higher the better, the rooms that is.

Dear Robert,
Wow, Thank you for staying with us for a week and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Yes we have a great Happy Hour but I hope that we were not serving you JW Blue for $5!!!
Unfortunately the Beach Club is now closed, it runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day but the beach which is only a stones throw away is of course open all Year Around.

With all the local bars and restaurants nearby, outlet shopping and simply walking in Sandy Hook Nature Reserve, there is plenty to do.
Best
Julian
