We were there on Saturday for lunch. $16.95 per person. + extra for meats/seafood & drinks. ($12.95 lunch weekdays). Parking is limited. So go early.
You start of by choosing the soup choice, and your own mixture of sauces. Then you help yourself to an array of fishballs, veges, mushrooms, root veges, noodles. Then you cook away!
We had the dashi and tonkotsu broth. Wanted something "bland" for our crazy mix of sauce (the shabu sauce, shacha sauce, peppers, chillis).
The veges and shiitake mushroom were very fresh and sweet. We also ordered an extra plate of cod fish. fresh. Fish cakes/balls were good too. Mung bean noodles and ramen noodles were good! Broth was good. initially. Until we got low. Had to call for refill. The next batch of broth must have been made with a extra heavy hand on salt/msg.
After only one cooking I had to stop. So salty. After that, I spent the rest of the day feeling extra parched. That's my only gripe.
