The restaurant has a very putting off smell of eggs, but other than that it is great for teppanyaki. If they could something about the smell, I could go back again.

Always a fun and good experience. I find that some chefs do cook better than others but have positive things to say from our most recent visit. The chef cooked the meats perfectly and all of the staff was very attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. Great job!

We sat at the bar on a Friday night for drinks and sushi. The sushi was of good quality (though the rice was bland). The service, however, was very slow and inattentive.

The experience is classic and repeatable
Chef Vincent was in rare form flipping food bits into his hat, great knife work on and off the grill, onion rail train and great cooking for a very diverse crowd
The waiter with him was horrendous
Indifferent to any of the 8 diners needs
no water, no salad dreesiing, no rice, No Care??

Thank Howard A H

We keep going back here due to many good memories and experiences here in the past: family birthdays, children's birthdays and homecomings, small office celebrations... But in past few years quality of food and service has been inconsistent and incredibly disappointing. To be fair, dinner for two on a quieter week night a few months ago was excellent. But 3 larger family dinners there had incredibly poor service and food was over cooked and bland. Went for lunch with my adult son Thursday - got there 12:05-not crowded yet we waited 35 minutes for a table when we were told 15 minute wait ( other groups got tired of waiting and left)and then we were seated with a family group of 6 at one end of the table. Would have been fine, but the chef served us last every time-Even members of the other party commented because I got the scraps of the included zucchini and onions that was less than a third of what others at the table were served and rice bowl less full than anyone else's as well. Soup tasted like salt water with only 2 thin slices of mushroom- and this is usually one of my favorite parts of meal. Everyone at the table had ordered from the standard lunch menu, yet my son's spicy chicken was not finished ( meaning mixed with small amount hot sauce)and served until after everyone else at table had actually finished their entire meals! My son did not want me to talk to manager- we have in past without much resolution. ( just told next time we come in to let them know).Guess we will be trying Kyotos in Florham Park, East in Berkeley Hts or Arrirang on Rte 22 which all are similar but not as convenient and not the sentimental memories. Sad because if this was not a chain, someone would actually care about quality of food and customer service...when it is good it is very good...every year we give my son a Benihanas gift certificate to use near where he goes to college- unfortunately he says the quality at the Washington DC Benihana has also declined and did not want one again after this experience...
