We were aiming to visit the Holy Crab for Christmas eve dinner - to have some seafood, but were a bit disappointed as they were sold out of crawfish, which was what we were looking for!
While we were sitting there deciding what to change our order to - one of the managers told us about the new restaurant upstairs, Betty Lou's - which was a new BBQ place to try.
Given that we couldn't have the seafood we wanted, we decided to move upstairs to the new place (same management as Holy Crab) and ordered from the BBQ menu.
The Southern fried chicken with garlic mash was a substantial sized meal, good value and from the Southern Comfort food section of the menu. The Brisket and pulled pork plate was also quite tasty and paired with mac&cheese and slaw.
I'm sure that this restaurant will be popular, given it's not too pricey. They also gave us 20% off because we were willing to give it a try even though it was new. Lovely staff and very attentive service.
