“Peaceful Villa enjoyed by everyone”

We stayed at Akasa Villa for 8 nights in September 2014, we were travelling together with another family in total there were 4 adults and 6 kids. The Villa was lovely and peaceful and the kids enjoyed the pool and running around the spacious grounds. Breakfast was always delicious. The rooms were beautifully presented and each night it was very special to find our beds turned down and our pyjamas made into the shape of a butterfly. We all enjoyed a massage in the villa. The staff were always on hand to help us with taxis, restaurant bookings and even ordering the kids McDonalds home delivery! There was a great little supermarket about 2 minutes walk up the road which was great for snacks. Check out time was 11am and the staff allowed us to keep our bags stored at the villa till the evening which was a great help as we were able to go and do some last minute shopping without the hassle of carrying around all our luggage. The only thing I would suggest would be to put out a lot more mozzie coils around the sitting areas and bathrooms at dusk as there was a bit of a plague of mozzies buzzing about but other than that it was a beautiful villa to stay in. Thank you

That is a great review, and we will take on board your advice regarding mozzie coils.

“Simply the best holiday we could have hoped for - Akasa is exceptional”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I'm almost hesitant to review how amazing this place is as I want it to be available every year when I hope to return! I have tried to dig deep and find one thing to mention that Akasa could improve but quite simply this place is faultless! I travelled with a group of 6 friends and stayed at Akasa for 6 nights of bliss. We were welcomed and felt at home in the first 5 minutes.
On our first night we had a chef and staff cook a traditional Indonesian meal which was a lovely start to the holiday. One of our holiday makers requires a strict gluten free diet as she is celiac and has quite a strong reaction. The chef and staff had gone to the trouble to buy special sauces and gluten free products to cook with so she had plenty of choices for the meal. I was very touched by how thoughtful and caring the staff were and this carried through right to the end of our stay.
I cannot say enough about the staff at Akasa from the housekeeping to the management staff they were just the most attentive, patient, friendly and warm people you could ever hope to meet. Part of the pleasure of staying at Akasa was the fact that there were always staff nearby but they were never intrusive. Like magic little fairies they would keep busy looking after us but we wouldn't notice they were there until we would rise each day and find everything that we had left out in the communal area had been tidied and everything was in its place.
Each day we would rise slowly one by one from our luxurious comfortable beds to pots of tea and coffee brewing as we lounged by the pool before our beautiful daily breakfast. We were pampered from head to toe as they arranged massages for us at villa - we could even have them by the pool!
When we told them how we had a funny game called beer pong at home the next day there were plastic cups and ping pong balls that appeared and were set up on the table for us! I just couldn't believe my eyes.
Day trips to visit other areas are easily arranged and taxis come to pick you up to go anywhere it's just all too easy. I walked into Seminyak most days as it was only 10 minutes to walk to some lovely shops and cafes. We were close enough to everything with a convenience store and small supermarket right around the corner but far enough from the busy roads to have a completely tranquil stay. The only noise that could be heard was the gentle humming of the huge majestic kites that the nearby farmers use to invoke the spirits of the skies to help them have a good season's crop. We were all so sad to leave our home away from home. Some of my friends were even pricing up villas to stay in Seminyak forever haha we were hooked.
I stayed in Ubud for a further 4 nights with one of the other guests and we both agreed that while Ubud was one of the most beautiful places we had ever visited nothing could beat our stay at Akasa Villa. This place is just magic oh and the other reviews are correct - photos just don't do this place justice it's stunning!

I just want to say that is a wonderful review. I have copy and pasted it to my computer, and if I ever have a down day I am going to open it up and read it out loud. Will put it up in our staff area for all to read too. Made my day.

Best wishes, Lou

It is always wonderful to have guests return for another holiday and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay.

A bit of good news; the road has now been sealed which makes it easier, and while taxis may still find it difficult to find (which of course means their meter continues to tick over for longer) we have increased signage leading to the villa.

We hope to see you again for a third holiday!

Best wishes, Lou
