We were traveling by car, with very spotty cell coverage, and using the hotels.com link through TripAdvisor.com was taking way too much time. Both the fact that it was a holiday and that the cell service was bad, made sitting on "hold" impossible. I called the hotel directly.

Although hey were swamped too, the desk clerk promised to phone me back in 15 minutes and she did! I'd already learned that most pet-friendly hotels were running out of "pet" rooms, so I was relieved at her attention to our request because it is a looooong way to the next town when you're headed West!

The hotel was very inexpensive and much nicer than I would expect for the price. We skipped the breakfast, which my husband reported to be "boring." Our bed was comfortable, our dog was comfortable and we didn't spend a lot of money. The attentiveness of the clerk pushed my review from 3 dots to 4.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that isn't on the railway side of the building!"

I to stayed at back of hotel, and maybe b/c I am from chicago and train tracks were across the street, that didn't bother me at all..bring earplugs when traveling anyway. I will say this about hotel. Staff very friendly, and this has been by far the most convenient motel. I appreciated the on site laundry facilities. The room has frige and microwave which is nice as well. Bed is comfortable. Best part was while doing laundry I was invited to get a plate of food as they were having staff Christmas party in conference room next door. Was so nice!!!! kudos!!!

Room Tip: If you don't sleep well, stay on side rooms. Always bring earplugs anyway.

The Red Roof is a recently renovated property. The room we had was very nice, modern lamps, comfortable beds, a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was OK but more of a snack. The staff was fine. That was the good. The bad concerns the location of the property. All night long we heard trains rumbling through. The building vibrates with the trains passing. Apparently this is the BNSF main line and they don't let any rust get on those rails. Fortunately, the honking of the train horn is done at the east end of town, so that was not an issue. Also, outside our room was a parking area for semis. In the morning, they would start up and motors would idle for a long time which limited sleeping time. In the future I would request a room on the right side of the building on the front as the trains are at the rear.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front of the building on the right (east) side.

We found this hotel in one of the hotel coupon travel books. We chose it because of the price and location which was conventiently located right off Hwy 40, so we were not really expecting much. It was later in the evening so we could not really tell much from the outside, but once we entered the room, we were so surprised! It was extremely clean, nicely decorated, great amenties (frig, microwave, computer desk and plugins). The bedding was nice and clean (turned down comforter with crisp pillow cases) and so was the bathroom. The next morning we had a small, but nice continental breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We got a nice pull-up room on 1st floor. It had coffee maker, microwave, fridge (no freezer). The Internet had wired/wireless option and worked very well. As for noise from trains, no big deal, and every place in town is near the tracks. Nice wrap around computer desk that can be used for both PC and dinner table. Nice touch. We liked it so much we signed up with Red Roof for other stays. Maybe not the best location in town but we wanted a 1st floor smoking King and they had it. Exterior corridoors. Just typical continetal brkfst. Comfy place for overnight or more.
