If you are in Jemez and been exploring all day.. make an appointment for a soak! It's the best $12.00 you will spend. Super clean, friendly staff, no frills. If it's a busy weekend, call ahead! You can also book spa services, check with the front desk for specials.

You see, you don't need to number the rooms when there are only 6 of them. And since each one of the rooms is decorated entirely differently, naming them makes perfect sense. Names like The Sunflower, The Memory Lane, or the Secret Garden.

Our room was The Baca - actually The Baca is a suite. It was plenty roomy for us four adults (no children, or pets, are allowed at this inn.) The Baca has an old west, cowboy theme and features appropriate adornment, including cowboy hats and a small (very small) saddle. In addition to the standard drip coffee pot, hotel refrigerator, microwave oven, and televisions (there are two of them) with VCR/DVD player and satellite receiver, there are also four real wine glasses, mugs, plates, and large, chilled drinking glasses.

Our suite, as well as the Inn overall, was clean and well-maintained. Depending on the season you visit, you may find a large population of hummingbirds hovering about (summer), but we missed out on the tiny birds by about two weeks. So we had to "settle" for the early fall foliage. We weren't complaining. There are ample spots for sitting outside and relaxing, visiting with other guests, communing with nature, or just listening to the sound of the Jemez River a portion of which flows under the inn courtyard.

The Jemez Mountain Inn is centrally located in Jemez Springs. Unless you plan on participating in the vast recreational opportunities in the Jemez Mountains a short drive away, you can leave your car parked at the Inn and be within walking distance of ancient pueblo ruins, the public library, the American Legion Post, restaurants, a bar, public hot springs, art galleries, and churches. Make sure you pack all you'll need for your stay because you won't find a convenience store. Also, you'll need to be able to climb a half dozen steps or so at the Inn. And, you best make reservations, especially if you'll be there during a weekend.

The best thing about my experience at the Jemez Mountain Inn was the owners. They seemed so genuinely happy to see us arrive that it felt like we were coming home. We met as strangers on a Saturday, and we parted as friends on a Monday.

I highly recommend a stay at the Jemez Mountain Inn. And, if you go, please don't mention it to anybody. I'd hate for it to become too popular.

Room Tip: There are pictures of the rooms at the Jemez Mountain Inn website.

Great stay!! Love location! Everything in small downtown in walking distance. Hosts were awesome. Let me check in early. Lovely courtyard area. Giggling Springs right next door so you can walk to mineral pool. I've stayed in Jemez Springs for several years when I drop my grandson off at camp.

I simply cannot say enough great things about this place! The owners are warm and welcoming, the accommodations are good and the location is great, what more do you need? Stayed once before when I was just passing thru, this time I came back to stay 2 nights, next door to Giggling Springs and the restaurants and bar are only a short walk away. I recommend this location.

Room Tip: Several room themes available with various beds and sizes to choose from.
