Peppers is a sort of fun very casual place to get a meal in Mesilla. The menu has some creative versions of NM cuisine that are worthy of trying out. Pretty good! The ambience is a bit strange, as many of the tables are tiny, and not the most comfortable...sort of a bit too casual...but there's the overhead open feeling translucent roof, and some big indoor plants. It can fell a bit hectic during peak lunch times...but not as "crazy" as El Posto during massive tourist invasions. And the food is way better than El Posto. Still, El Posto gives the sort of tourist experience one might hope for...brash, loud, "Mexican" and sort of out of control. Peppers has the loud part, but a truly creative menu.
