I've stayed here several times and been impressed with its consistency. All the rooms have been renovated. Things that need to be updated (WiFi, new beds, carpets, flat screen TVs, all new bathroom fixtures) have been updated, and the rest remains to give you that 1950's retro look and feel. Everything you need for a quick stop while on the road is provided here at this family owned and operated, late -50's era Route 66 motel.

This hotel is a classic hotel located on Route 66. We stayed here while traveling Route 66 because we were looking for a classic mom and pop hotel. This hotel delivered on that. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. There was a great patio area. The room was clean and comfortable but hasn't been upgraded at all but that's part of the charm. It was good for an overnight stay. There is a good little brewery in town and several restaurants.

We were pleasantly surprised that a small roadside motel was so nice. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. It was obvious that the carpet, paint and bed linens were fresh and new. The outside was decorated in an adobe style. We didn't expect to have breakfast included, but were pleased that some continental offerings were available. There isn't a breakfast area near the selection. Instead, trays were available for guests to take their breakfast back to their room (2 lovely upholstered chairs and table in room) or to the garden patio. We chose to eat on the patio. There were lovely flowers planted in a garden there. It was a nice way to start our day. The woman who owns and operates the motel was so nice and really took an interest in each of her guests, asking where they were from and where they were headed. She was so personable and friendly.

We made several Route 66 stops the day we stayed here, including the charming town of Holbrook, AZ, because our kids wanted to see where the Disney Cars movie was "made." This was the perfect way to top off our day. Loved the nostalgia and history of this family-owned motel. You can tell the pride the owners put into it - it is spotless and beautifully maintained! It was also our best night's sleep of our whole 12 day road trip. Enjoyed talking with Debbie - she really made us feel welcome. She recommended a restaurant with plenty of choices for us and our kids and told us a lot about the area. The rooms have been updated with modern conveniences. We had a suite with 4 double beds, microwave, mini fridge, and a flat screen TV in both rooms. Also plenty of places to charge our phones. Don't pass up this gem to stay in a chain motel. They can't come close to providing the combination of comfort and customer service you'll find here.

We arrived late in the evening without reservations and my husband had doubts when we stepped into the tiny front office/breakfast nook.... The owner, Mike, greeted us with a big smile, gave us a good price, and sent us to our room with some fresh smoked salmon, crackers, and a wonderful sauce. He told us ask his wife, Deb, for some wine, Deb was outside chatting with some customers and an Historic Route 66 journalist. We had a great evening on the patio with Deb and a young couple from Holland, also guests at the motel.

Our room and bathroom were immaculate, The linens on the bed were very nice, there were a couple of updated chairs, but the room had the overall look and feel of the heydays of Route 66!

Mike expanded their typical continental breakfast and brought out a home made omelet with mushrooms, fresh heirloom tomatoes and a special sauce!

We came away very happy and we will definitely stay there again if we are in the area!

Thank you so much for your kind words! Deb really enjoyed visiting with you on the patio. On the patio that evening was a husband and wife heading to Chicago where he would defend his world championship model airplane combat competition, a couple from Holland moving to Cleveland to work for Ely Lilly is molecular biologists, yourselves and a Route 66 historian staying with us. Our family built and operated property has been hosting guests since 1959 and we LOVE it! Please hurry back!!
