This felt a bit off the beaten path but we had our dog with us and this hotel has grass and a good pet policy ($20 per night when many are now charging $75 or more). No street noise but the walls were a little thin or the handicap / pet room with tile just transferred sound more effectively. I could hear neighbors TV, his dog bark etc. Good breakfast, the green side chili was sadly frozen in their little cups at 6 am. Would stay again or recommend if going thru. The gas is cheaper at the Loaf and Jug up the road. The staff is also exceptionally nice and friendly.
Annie and Rosie the Breakfast Hostesses are very accommodating and always friendly. Couldn't as for a better staff they are even better than the staff I've encountered at some restaurants. Biscuits and gravy are to die for! The front desk staff always go above and beyond for their guests. One in particular is Tori. She is very friendly and always eager to help.The evening staff was also very friendly. I absolutely LOVE the rooms always clean and homely.

We stay here because of it's proximity to the Whittington Center. For 4 years running we have enjoyed their free breakfast in the morning. Have been to other HIE also Baymont and Mariott and this hotel really goes out of its way to provide a great start to your day. Turkey and pork sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs some days, egg white omelets, cheese omelets (pre-done but good), hot and cold cereals, do it yourself pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, sweet rolls, large asst of breads, 3 types of juice, even tortillas and home made green chilies! I now judge all mid range hotels by this breakfast. Breakfast even starts at 5:30 am. On top of this the hotel provides snacks at 5:30 in the evening. 3 types of deli meats, rolls, chips and salsa and a peanut mix. I've never seen this provided by a HIE anywhere. The ladies that take care of this area are very nice and helpful.
Rooms do need an update but they are very clean and well appointed. If you need a table or lamp it's there. There's also a microwave and a mini refrigerator.
The fitness center was surprisingly good and up to date. 4 sided weight machine, free weights, elliptical and precor machines. Towels, water fountain, bacterial wipes and ice cold a/c provided.
If you have a dog you will get the lower rooms in the main building. Outside the side door is a great open field that they keep mowed so no worry about varmits.

We have stayed here several times, and it is always clean and comfortable. The staff is accommodating. The grounds are well cared for and very attractive, and the inside is tastefully decorated. The little putting green and patio are wonderful little additions. This is an above average Holiday Inn.

We booked our reservation about 1 hour before arriving at hotel. Despite calling the hotel phone number in the AAA Book, I was not aware I was transferred to the IHG Reservation System. The hotel did not have my reservation number. One of the managers said it was not their (local hotel) problem. She did apologize later. It took over an hour to fix the reservation. This is the third time in 5 years using the IHG System the hotel did not have the reservation.The staff upgraded our room and reduced the price. Shower Curtain had mold at bottom. The wallpaper is peeling from the room. This is the King Size Suite Room 148. The room needs an update and a deep cleaning. Many of the lights had bulbs removed. I do appreciate a separate wing of rooms for Non-Smoking and No Pets.
