Lynn and I and friends recently had our final Ruidoso dinner at Casa Blanca. This is a large restaurant that is very much in the Spanish tradition..washed white building with wood interiors. Our server, Jamie was very good and quite sociable as we have found many servers in New Mexico to have been. Lynn wanted a Chile Relleno and ordered one as an appetizer. She thought that the relleno perfect with a very light breading. We also ordered beef fajitas. There was lots of everything, Jalapeño, cheese, peppers and flour tortillas which came out piping hot. For those with disabilities, there are many steps to this restaurant. I believe that there is also an upstairs exit that might have a ramp, but we did not try it. There is also a bar on the ground floor. We really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely return.

Had dinner here one evening while visiting Ruidoso. The food was good, the place had a nice, casual vibe, and the wait staff and management were terrific. I ordered the burrito plate with an extra taco--just the right amount of food after a day of strenuous outdoor activity.

Good food, workers, libations, but the downstairs bar smells like mold and old insulation, the place needs repair and remodeling work.

My friend and I had a so so meal but with Mexican food there should be good seasonings but this was bland. Just salt would have helped. The refried beans had no flavor or seasoning. I wonder if the cooks/chefs taste their own food....the ambiance and outdoor patio are probably a good place to hang out with friends. I want to try something else on the menu just to see if it was that particular dish. For some reason I found the service in Ruidoso very slow. Mid to high range prices.

Ate here for the third time yesterday evening. Without a doubt this was our least impressive visit. Our server was polite but not very attentive for sure. The chips and salsa arrived quickly but the chips were so over salted that we didn't even eat half of them. My wife had chicken fajitas which were good. Definitely a good amount of chicken for sure. I had the trio fajitas (chicken, steak and shrimp). A good amount of chicken, five nice sized shrimp but not but just a very few pieces of steak could be found. Looked liked a nice sized portion but most of it was veggies. The set ups left much to be desired. Sour cream was good but the cheese wasn't very appealing.

Had to ask for tea refills twice.... Could understand this if they had been busy which definitely was not the case. Decided to try the sopapillas for dessert. Without a doubt the WORST we have ever tried to eat. They were very doughy inside as though they were not cooked properly. What few bites we tried were almost tasteless. No sugar or cinnamon detected at all.... Glad they only were $1 each or I would have asked for a refund..... Yep that bad!!!

Have eaten here three times now. Will look for another mexican restaurant on our next visit for comparison purposes.
