What a perfect location for our 3rd Safari experience.
Lodge is a short 20min drive from the Manyeleti Game Reserve main gate.
Tintswalo is a beautiful lodge with their own resident wild elephants that come right up to the lodge to take advantage of the fresh water spilling out of a hose hung high in a beautiful tree overhanging the large deck where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served.
All staff were friendly and more than helpful.
Our room was beautiful and we had a lovely plunge pool overlooking the bush , but don’t leave your doors open as you will have some uninvited guests. The monkeys will steal anything in sight.
Food was great and the setting , spectacular.
Our professional guide/ driver Andrew & tracker Pardon were the nicest young men. So knowledgeable. They did their best to make this Safari experience unforgettable and they succeeded.
We were up so close to some of the most beautiful wild animals.
We had previously stayed in 2 other lodges and the advantage Tintswalo has over the others was the fact we were able to go off road rather than stay close to the road and only hope the animals would cross our path.
We found 13 lions asleep on a river bed so close you could hear them breathing.
Huge herds of elephants especially on one occasion when relaxing having a late afternoon drink ,20 odd with young came down to the lake to cross. An experience I’ll never forget. Thanks Andrew for pre warning me we had company even if it was only a second before .
I cannot fault Tintswalo Safari Lodge.
A truly magnificent experience.
Can’t wait to return, one day.

Excellent accommodations . The Rooms were large , clean and well appointed . The staff were friendly ,knowledgeable and very accommodating .
The Manyeleti reserve is expansive with varied terrain and wide variety of wild life . In addition to ample spotting of the “big 5”, we were pleasantly surprised to find cheetah, baboons, hippos, bush babies and wild dogs .
More “rustic” and fewer vehicles than Sabi Sands.
Overall : highly recommend

We had a fantastic stay at Tintswalo. The property is tucked deep in the bush and has a colonial aesthetic feel with the luxurious comforts throughout. At Tintswalo you are assigned specific individuals that take care of each and every need you may have. The food is amazing and the service is unsurpassed. Our guide and tracker were phenomenal. Eric as the guide and Foster as our tracker. Eric and Foster read the bush like Galileo read the starts. The nice part about this lodge is that it provides a personal touch and an intimate atmosphere that truly makes the stay feel special.

Room Tip: Each cottage is private and separate from the others

Brilliant stay, exceptional service, game viewing, accommodation and catering. Great value when compared to similar lodges with similar offerings. I will strongly recommend this lodge to anyone wanting to go on a safari in the Greater Kruger area.
