Beautiful guesthouse in a very historical street. We were given a lovely glass of port on arrival and upgraded to a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the vines. Within walking distance of the wine and port tasting and museum. Restaurants are a stones throw away. The breakfast was delicious and make sure you taste the karoo oatsI highly recommend this guesthouse when you visit the beautiful town of calitzdorp.

WE booked to get away for a lovely weekend in one of our favourite towns Calitzdorp.
The Queen has been beautifully revived! The rooms are comfortable and have all you need. We just have a few suggestions.
We were in room A6 and the fan or machines outside our window can be noisy and don't ever stop. For someone who is very sensitive to noise this made it a bit hard to sleep.
Also that part of the hotel is VERY Noisy when someone uses their bathroom. If the plumbing could somehow be insulated so that if someone showers or flushes the toilet the whole row don't get woken.
Other than those 2 things - we loved our stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast delicious and the 2 kitties are a treat and love a cuddle if given the chance.
The hotel is also centrally located so we loved being able to walk to wherever we wanted to go.

Room Tip: I would ask to stay in the main building. Found our room noisy due to plumbing and machines outside our window.

We had a great time at the Queen. Excellent service, clean rooms and very friendly people. The street where the hotel is located is a historical street and everybody was very helpful in telling us about the town and the history behind the specific buildings. Would recommend is to anyone.

Friendly and efficient staff...enjoyed the glass of Port. Rooms comfortable and bathrooms very well equipped with nice gowns.
Very nice breakfast.

It was a very cold day, if the fire in the lounge area were lit it would have been nice. Otherwise, no complaints.
