We stayed 4 nights. Our room on the 2nd floor had a fan we put in the window plus opening the transom window and the window in the bathroom (corner room) so the temperature was ok but it was hot and humid the first 2 days. The rooms are charming or antiquated depending on your view. The claw foot tub had a shower in it so you have to climb over the tub wall. The faucets are all 2 handled so hot and cold are tricky to adjust. The dining room is lovely and the staff (mostly local high school kids) attentive. The potatoes are consistently under cooked but all else was good.
The location is great. You can walk to all the stores and restaurants and sit on the porch, rock and listen to the music down the street in the tent on the water. Waterfront but no beach. Free docking for your boat.
There's a bar opening at noon. Breakfast only in the dining room but plenty of restaurants around. Cash or checks only.More
