Powerful waterfall next to adjacent power plant. Sound of waterfall surprisingly loud. Take the turn on School Street to the small park for an unobstructed view of the falls.

We went in January when it was randomly 50 degrees. It was very powerful and even though the park was closed there was a great view from the street. Parking was only available on the street, but there were plenty of spaces.

Located in the city of Cohoes is a beautiful attraction - The Cohoes Falls! There are two areas from which one can view the falls. First, there is Falls View Park. A parking lot across the street offers free parking. Upon entering the park area, one can stop at historical markers to learn the history of these falls. Then cross a bridge from which the falls can be viewed. They are surprisingly large and impressive. Upon leaving the parking lot, you can take a right and go to School Street. At the end of School Street is another park with a different but beautiful view of the falls. Parking here is limited but the alternate view of the falls is worth seeing

Really cool place. Like a smaller version of Niagara falls! There is a walk path were you can sit and watch and listen to the falls, during rainstorm the rush of the water is awesome to watch.
