We were in Cold Spring on a visit on Sunday and happened to be there very early. Most places were closed until 8 am but this restaurant welcomed us in at 7.45.
The menu is a wide one with lots of choice. We had fruit and croissants and both were very good. The service was really friendly and we will definitely visit again as the lunch and dinner menu both look delicious !

This trip was planned the night before and was literally a "point and go" kind of ordeal. We wanted to go to Cold Spring for breakfast as it is a very nice, quaint, historical town filled with shops, B&B's, bars and restaurants. This was one we never tried or heard of until we looked it up. The inside is clean, open and bright. There is a bar there as well. Not big but enough to accommodate about 6 people comfortably, if memory serves. We were seated right away and even had the door held open for us as we walked in. The service off the bat was friendly and attentive and remained so throughout. This is a major factor and it is my wish and hope that certain other restaurants follow suit, as it can make or break a trip dining out. Although we didn't order any, please note they have a fantastically sinful sounding pancake/french toast menu and it was hard to resist. I had the steak and eggs. I must say that everything was delicious. Scrambled eggs, thick rye toast, real home fried potatoes and a beautiful piece of skirt steak that was free of fat and was nicely portioned. Overall a very pleasant and warm experience. But it doesn't end there! To our shock we were given the bill and casually told that this particular day they were offering half-off all breakfast receipts! That said, we escaped with a $20 check including tax and tip! What a great way to end a great meal! Hence...here is how to get customers to remember you and return. And yes...we WILL be returning! Well done.

Went with my husband and kids, the food is consistently good and the remodel has brightened up the place quite a bit. Burgers are delicious and cooked exactly as ordered, fries are crisp and not greasy. Fish and chips are always a good choice. Kid's menu is fine, would be nice to have a simple dessert for them, but my kids always eat the food and enjoy it, so that's says a lot. Nice place for grown up later in the evening as well.

recommended to visit beautiful Cold Spring by some friends

arrived during severe snow storm - streets deeps in snow - with sidewalks cleared (mostly)

looking to have lunch before catching train back to NYC - not many businesses open - friendly reception and service at Silver Spoon - ordered a chilli and a crab soup - both served in bread crust bowl - hit the spot on such a terrible day

cold spring is a very beautify and picturesque village - would like to return in more friendly weather......

Went here for breakfast on a Tuesday, most of the town is closed on Tuesday. Big portions, friendly service. Nicely renovated, walls could use some artwork, maybe local artist stuff.
Toasted Almond French Toast was just OK, but the Florentine was very good. Wish the home fries had a little crunch or firmness.
