“Peaceful modern comfort”
Reviewed 13 December 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We usually book hotels, but while planning our last night of our little tour of the Loire area we stumbled upon this rental. I'm so glad we went for it, as this was the best accommodation of the entire trip.
The sun was setting when we arrived in Louresse-Rochemir. The gite is right behind a farm, and looks exactly like the pictures. We were impressed by how well maintained it was, and the little patio with barbecue was lovely. There's also plenty of privacy with screens and a separate entrance, very well done. We had received a message from the owners where to find the key, and had no problems entering the gite. There's a living space with kitchen, separate bedroom and separate bathroom. Nicely decorated, everything you need is there including bed linens and towels, even complimentary toiletries were provided!
We drove to a nearby restaurant for dinner, and afterwards returned to our gite to watch a little French tv and go to sleep - and it was so quiet, I LOVED it. We suffer from noisy neighbours at home so this was absolute heaven for me.
The only remark I could have was that the bathroom window opened in the living room, with no ventilation outside - if you take a shower the steam will go into the living room, but that's not a big problem.
After a good night's sleep I woke up very early and spent the morning reading on the couch, watching the mist over the fields clear up, and paying a little visit to the church ruins across the road.
We wished we could have stayed longer, to explore the neighbourhood a bit and enjoy the peace and quiet a little more.
We hope to return some day!
