The location of this hotel couldn't be better. A very short walk will take you to the downtown area. People say that it's pricey for what you get, but this is not the case. If you expect a 5 star hotel, not even the one rated as "the best" in the area is a 5 star. This is a quiet family hotel, with typical architecture and nice pools and private therms that can be reserved at a low price. The food in the restaurant is ok. One of the best things is the complementary wifi connection, which you rarely get in any kind of hotels here in Mexico. The double rooms are small but nice. If you come with a big entourage, you can get bigger rooms in which you do not feel crowded. If you travel as a couple and are willing to pay a bit more, there are suites and even a very nice penthouse with private pool or jacuzzis. The hotel also has a small shop, pool bar, etc. if you bring electronic appliances such as iPad, laptop or smartphones, be sure to request in the reception for an electric cord extension which will be provided at no extra cost and you can keep for all your stay. Just mind that the sole electric connection in the room is way up by the tv on the wall (therefore, the extension cord). The staff is helpful and if you need someone that speaks English, it can happen. The parking lot is big with enough spaces, at no extra cost. The green areas are very pretty and you can walk around. All in all, the p,ace is nice and typical of the region. You won't regret your stay here. Last but not least, close to the hotel, in the plaza, there is a very nice place to eat that is exactly in front of the church, called Cilantro y Perejil. The food is very good, with barbecues and not expensive.

The Relox is an old tradition in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is old so some issues may arise in the rooms, however if necessary you'll get a new room. There's a lot to do in the hotel (swim, play tennis or soccer, relax in a hammock, etc) and since the hotel is downtown you can enjoy the hole truistic areas by walking. The art crafts market is also a few steps away and there's lots to do and shop. Great place for a weekend.
