Owner description: PRI's Museum of the Earth was established in 2003 to provide visitors with a unique opportunity to explore our world through a mix of natural history displays, interactive science features, and art exhibitions. The museum's 8,000-square-foot permanent exhibition takes visitors on a journey through 4.5 billion years of history, from the Earth's origin to the present day. Through hands-on, visual exhibitions and outreach, the Museum of the Earth encourages critical thinking about life on Earth in the past and today, and how our species is affecting the natural world.

Great place to be and see all the wonders theyhad, to bad it was cold so you need to go during more warmer months of the year.

“not a great place for young kids”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2012

There was not a lot of hands on things for kids. Most of the exhibits were at the high school level and too interesting for smaller kids.

“Fossils and Bones”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2012

A fascinating collection of fossils and bones from trilobites to a mastodon. This was a fun Girl Scout trip with a hands-on fossil class. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I would enjoy going back for another visit.

“Very good fossil museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2012

I thought this was a great museum. You could easily get through it in an hour or two, or spend the day there. Lots of interesting fossils and facts. Very educational but still fun.
