My wife gave us a night at The Inn. From beginning to end it was a luxurious and indulgent experience. Joanne helped my wife pick the best package for us, and enthusiastically met us upon arrival. The room was gorgeously appointed, the fireplace roaring (OK, it's gas, doesn't roar, but it's still inviting) had a cheese tray and prosecco awaiting, and made sure our needs were met. The view from the Montcalm room was outstanding.
That evening we had a 4 course meal at the Inn. It was pretty quiet, so Chef Chris came out and "cooked for us," guiding us through a meal of novel and spectacular French cuisine, things we might never have tried, all paired with hand-picked wines for each course.
Afterwards, the bartender lit a fire (this time it was roaring!) out on the veranda. We sipped our cognac. Chef Chris, who apparently does a whole lot more than cheffing at Erlowest, came out and tucked our blankets in while we sat sat by the fire. I am serious...he tucked us in.
We are not wealthy people, but we felt rich during this experience, and it was well worth the money spent for a special night. It was never a snooty experience, but warm and welcoming. I can't thank Joanne and Chef Chris for their attention, education, and warmth during our stay.More
