It was a beautiful day to visit the park. Sun was shining, and the park was amazing. We arrived early in the morning at the beach, and walked along the shore. There were no others yet arrived and the peace and quiet was so nice. The scenery over the water and all around us was awesome.

Must see park. We saw deer, turkeys, baby toads and tree frogs. Loons out on the water. We also saw 5 whitetail deer and 15 turkeys.

My husband & I took our 23 year old daughter & two 23 year old friends. Everyone had a great time in & out of the water. The water was a little cold but not unbearable. It wasn't overly crowded on the beach or in the water. We had our own food, tents & chairs.
You could buy food, chairs & umbrellas there.
Bathrooms were clean, workers regularly came around to empty trash cans.
The one negative is after we set up we didn't think we were too close to a trash can but the flies that were coming around became annoying but not enough to move.
We will definitely go back but sit closer inland or to the water!

Good campground. Sites are well spaced and mostly private. Rates are reasonable. Many sites with electric and large enough for most motorhome and RVs. Very convenient to Eisenhower Locks.
Not much else in the area and no water or sewer hookups.

This park includes so much for families, friends or couples to do. The campground is excellent with both wooded and waterfront sites for trailers or motor homes. There are also cabins to rent. The beach is gorgeous and under utilized so you can have a practically private place to swim. There's a picnic pavilion to rent for parties or reunions. You can visit the Eugene Nicandri Nature Center for a first class experience or the McCullough Visitors Center for an explanation of how the seaway was built. Another stop is the Eisenhower Lock to watch ships pass from the Atlantic to the Great Lakes. So much to do and very little if any cost. Everyone should come up to see this. It's less than a 2 hr drive north of the 1000 Islands.
