I stayed at the Atlantic Terrace with a group of girlfriends for a long weekend and had a really nice time, mainly because there's such a fun atmosphere on the patio and deck of the hotel. Live music, the awesome boutique on site are all major positives, but the hotel is literally steps off the beach and the Sloppy Tuna is a short walk away, as is the center of town. The prices for rooms is reasonable as well- but worth noting that we got the most basic room without a beach view. The staff was very nice, the room was clean - and though I've since forgotten the name of the little cafe on site, it too was great. I would definitely come back there and this time bring my family.

the location of the Atlantic terrace cannot be beat. the view up to dictch plains is magical as is the walk. Our room over looking the atlantic was clean, bright and spacious. It does not come cheap but nothing in Montauk does anymore. I would say the room price was what is to be expected in season. The staff was good, pool guys nice and helpful, front desk was hit or miss, the wonderful women who checked us in (also worked down at the shops near gossmans) was so helpful and welcoming, at other times the desk was efficient. Wayne who seems to be the go to guy, maybe building and grounds, not sure
title but shoud be KING. He seemed to know about all things Atlantic terrace and Montauk, he Was so helpful and pleasent . We are guests for life! sssssh, dont tell anyone about this gem!!

Three of us (a couple and their son) spent 2 night /3 days there, in a 2 bedroom room on 2nd floor w/ a beechview and terrace for $625+ $54 tax + $19 local tax =$698 per night. (almost $1400 for 2 nights stay). They put also $150 charge extra as a hold on your credit card in case you break or damage something, and return it on you check out/pay day, after making sure nothing was damaged......There is a coffee maker in the room, but for the price on hotel room they charge you, you would expect coffee bags with it... (you know, the usual Folgers ones that every other hotel provides/..) and sugar and powder cream to accompany this coffee maker "convenience", don't you think?..And.. it should be available and replenished for the 3-4 people every morning of your stay, right?..Yes, but No...Not at Atlantic Terrace for that matter..Toilet paper was only one roll (for 2 double beds room..) ...The only place you can buy coffee at the hotel vicinity is the coffee shop of the hotel where a cup costs you $3.75...Breakfast is surved there and it might be ok (egg omelettes and pancakes) but the cost is as high and ripping you off as the one they charge us at the Airports...Who of the visitors of the hotel would think of carrying their own coffee , sugar and milk from home?..Why do we need a coffee maker if coffee and sugar and milk are not provided?...Rooms maybe renovated recently, but the beds although looking comfortable, are making a squeaking noise every time you turn in bed or getting on, and off them... (God forbid you have a need to go to the restroom during the night) and it is so loud you can wake up your neighbors from it, let alone the people sleeping next to you....There is a pool, but it is smaller then it looks on the photo advertising the amenities of the hotel..It is basically a kiddy pool, and it is used mostly by the kids of the families visiting there. Noisy and crowded...You will witness endless splashes and hear "Marko"..and "Polo" so many times, you will want to leave as soon as you can, after no more than half an hour stay there...The only positive thing is the location (being so close to the beach)..and the view from balkony...But for this price the experience should be much, much better ..Breakfast, or at least coffee should be included ...As things are now, this is just an experience of being in a highly overpriced motor motel-inn...Very disappointing!...

The rooms facing the ocean directly or from the side are marvelous. The motel is kept spotless, the beds are really comfortable, and its access to the sea is sublime. The Eatery, which serves breakfast and lunch, offers a variety of food also fronts the ocean and the food is simple but good. The staff is helpful and very available. In essence it's a lovely hotel, within easy walking distance from town, and the rooms have kitchenettes with burners, and terraces, flat screen TV, and an exercise room is located on the main level. A pool directly on the sea is also a pleasure. Atlantic Terrace is an absolute delight.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the ocean directly or from the side are your best bet.

Fantastic property, clean and equipped with everything a family with kids would need such as a microwave and a fridge. We had two ocean-view rooms and absolutely loved our stay. Definitely worth paying extra for this gorgeous view and the balconies facing the Atlantic Ocean.
