The choice of hotel is fundamental to a successful stay in Santorini.
We were fortunate to find KINA SUITES in Oia.
We were warmly welcome
Our stay was well organize from the start : taxi reservation to the hotel, advices to visit the town and choose restaurants, treats (fruits, drinks, sweets ...)
The rooms with an amazing view on the caldeira are spacious and comfortable.
And last but not least, the hotel is very good value for money.

We also enjoyed the quietness of the site.

Thanks to Georgia, Ari and the staff for their kindness.

Ariane

I love everything in this hotel! Kindly staff, the breakfast( every day they offer a diferent one!! And always with delicious regional goodies!! )The view is fantastic, the hotel, swiming pool and bedrooms have a free view of everything! Our room has a jacuzzi with free view and hot water all the time!! Was very close to the main street and there was a lot of restaurants and a mini market close to the hotel too. There is not many steps to get to the hotel because its near of the main street, they carry your luggage and can call a transfer to anywhere if you need it.It was the most wonderful hotel that I have ever been in my life. I could only say that little things make all diference and that is why I love this hotel!!! Thank you all for making my stay wonderful.

Kima villas is on the main Street of Oia where most of the happening restaurants and shops are. This is the most popular street for the sunset views as well

We took the 2 bedroom room for 2 couples but the rooms are pretty small here and are expensive because they are located in Oia. You pay the premium for the view and the locations.

We got the rooms right outside the pool and across the pool is the view of the sea. A decent place to stay and explore Oia but you can surely find more fancy places and surely will be more expensive.

First, the good news. The view was spectacular. The homemade fig jam at breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly and sweet, but some of the issues noted in what we didn't like made it seem like they weren't paying attention to some details. Watching Ari carry 3 loaded suitcases at a time on the staircase from the main street was impressive. And he came very early our last morning to carry our suitcases back up the stairs so we could get to the airport for an early flight. It was a relief to know that we had the pool available to dunk in to and refresh ourselves at the end of the day. So there were numerous things that made this an inviting place to stay.

However, one out of 3 beds were unmade the first night with no available sheets to be found. The breakfast was not as sumptuous as in other places we stayed, but certainly adequate, although they did not remember after our 2nd day that we wanted no meat served. We noticed our neighbors would get hard-boiled eggs and fruit, while we would get either/or each morning. No effort was made to obtain something for a small breakfast the day before we left for our very early morning departure to the airport on our last morning, even though we asked 2 days in advance. If I were able, I would mark the "overall rating of property" and "service" rating each at 3.5, rather than 3 or 4. Wifi was inconsistent, but not unusual for Greece. We were in villa #1 which was designed for 3-4 people but felt smaller than we had expected for the cost and was a bit dank when we first arrived. The AC took care of the dankness, but initially it did not feel as welcoming as it might have.

You can't beat the location of Kima, right at the heart of the luxurious town of Oia, and tucked into a quiet cave on the side of the mountain. And the people who run the hotel could not be nicer or more helpful. But you have to pay close attention to which room you pick. Some are luxurious and lovely, but the apartments with kitchenette are dingy, musty, and in serious need of an update. For unknown reasons, the staff doesn't make up the beds; they just give you clean sheets as if this was camp instead of a luxury hotel. And the breakfasts are capricious, albeit tasty. One day you get fruit, one day you get eggs, but you can't actually request what you want, and it often seems like other guests get what you want. This could be a great hotel, but we were disappointed.

Room Tip: Avoid room #1
