The staff and owners provide a warm welcome at check-in and throughout the stay. As a family owned resort, everything is personal.

The 'Tupa' or cabin in Finnish, was clean and welcoming. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen and everything was spotless. As requested they had a fire going in the wood stove when I checked in. (Wood is free and stocked on the porch). The cabins are modern and have baseboard heat, but the wood stove in the living room is a great way to unwind after a long winter day outdoors. Just turn down the baseboard heat.

As when Olavi and Ann ran the place, the new owners keep the trails impeccably groomed for track and skate style skiing. The snowshoe trails are also interesting and well marked.

While I have my own equipment, the people at the rental counter were responsive to my questions.

If you are looking for great cross country skiing and snowshoeing, weather permitting, (yet another reason to stop global warming!) simple but functional accommodations (no TV) and a gender-segregated sauna to unwind in, this place is for you.

The cabin is neat and well kept. Ski trails are right outside the door. The wood stove makes the cabin very cozy. All the basic necessities are available (dishes, wine opener, microwave etc.). Bedrooms are small but comfortable.

If you love getting away from it all and cross country skiing this is the place. The staff at Lapland Lake make everything easy, the tupas are clean and the skiing is great. Reconnect with family members and enjoy the outdoors.

excellently groomed ski trails, very basic accommodations; no wi-fi, no tv at tupas (small houses).

Would be nice to have more comfort, taking into consideration the price being charged

Owners and staff are very friendly, trying to accommodate as much as they can

We stayed in the Pulka Tuppa and it was so much fun. The Tuppa/cabin was nice and warm with electric and wood burning stove heat when we needed it. We found the space immaculately clean when we arrived and enjoyed the hospitality of Kathy and all the staff at the lodge who catered to our every need. Looking forward to our next trip back!

Room Tip: be aware that internet is only available in the lodge which was fine by us
