My husband, I and 12 year old son stayed in the carriage house of this inn for a full week this summer. The innkeepers are super friendly and the carriage house is perfect for a small family looking for a central location from which to experience Finger Lakes. The accommodations allow for relaxed breakfasts and dinners when we aren't on the road. The location of Penn Yan allows for easy access to both the west and east Finger Lakes activities of wine tasting, kayaking, biking and hiking. Great!

Room Tip: Being an Inn, normally this only serves couples, but if you ask for the Carriage House you have room for 2 parents and 2 children.

This was far and away the finest bed and breakfast inn I've stayed at. The room was comfortable and the antiques made me feel like I had fallen into a time warp and was the lady of the manor. Of course the real lady of the manor was our hostess Tanya Oliver whose hospitality, friendliness, and great cooking just added to what made this experience special. I will add that we enjoyed the charming town of Penn Yan and its surroundings.

What a comfortable stay! The owners were super accommodating and the breaksfasts were amazing! Loved playing Uno, the pool table and their night cap local wine offering, their front porch seating, and an amazing shower and comfortable room. The location was perfect for in town stay walking distance to lots of great places to eat and do tastings. I'd love to go back!

My husband and I stayed for two nights. Mike and Tanya made us feel very welcome. They shared their love of the area with us and made delicious and huge breakfasts. We stayed in the lovely Lucy Fox room. During our stay, we enjoyed Keuka Lake, visited wineries, did some hiking and enjoyed excellent ice cream. We'd love to return to explore some more... Possibly visit some craft breweries next time. We will definitely return to the Fox Inn and recommend it to others.

My wife and I went to this lovely B & B to celebrate our birthdays. We had a great time. The inn is run by Mike & Tanya and they are exceptional hosts. The room that we stayed in (Dorothy Fox) was very comfortable and cozy. The whole inn had a wonderful feel to it. It was built in 1820 and has a charm to it that you don't see in many places. The breakfasts are delicious and HUGE. We tried their frittatas, waffles and eggs.
We would recommend this inn to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy themselves while touring the numerous wineries in the area.
