We stopped in for a late lunch and found a complete surprise: a little cafe with French-speaking patrons and mine host, Roger, who could parlez Francais like a native. On top of that the food choices, as well as quiche and crepes, were great. We had a very nice vegetable lasagne (enough to take half home in a box for supper!) with garlic bread and side salad for $14.99. The staff were attentive and frirendly without being intrusive. The decor was cute and the feel of the place was relaxing and homey. The restroom was lovely and clean and decoratively pleasing.

We targeted this little gem after deciding we didn't want a typical heavy hot breakfast diner fare. The owner spent 15 years in Rouen (Normandy), France and brought his experience back to a small Plattsburgh strip mall location. He delivers on his menu which includes standard French items and special desserts imported from NY City as well as his own creations. He's closing down now for two weeks away for the rest of September. Check it out - you won't be disappointed. Drop into the charming bookstore next door on your way out.

As a former coffeehouse entrepreneur, I saw many mirror Images of my "Latte Da" Sarasota days. This time around, the cuisine was French inspired, rich, & plentiful, with attentive service by the owner himself....who turns out is the real deal originally from Normandy. The Rear deck (not seen from the front of this strip plaza ) was exactly where our fam and our fido enjoyed a relaxing breakfast with table/umbrellas. Pastry selection could be larger, but overall satisfying.

This place is worth stepping off the beaten path in Plattsburgh. The food here is balanced and well cooked allowing for an experienced pallette to really enjoy the dish. I also found the staff to be very personable with their passion showing when they share with you the details of their menu.

I have been here a few times and the food is always phenomenal, never ANY complaints in that department. However, the last time I visited they were training a new waitress and I understood she had a lot to learn, but the female owner seemed to be pretty hard on her, if not downright rude. Today, a month later, I went with friends and we had the new waitress from last time and she treated us wonderfully. Stopped by at our request to let us look at the Dessert tray she showed the next table. Female owner berated her mercilessly because she had not handed out menus to next patrons fast enough. It is NEVER good policy to berate any employee in front of customers, NEVER. However, this verbal barrage continued steadily, for various other reasons, the whole time we were there. A person wants to enjoy their food and quiet ambiance, not cringe over and over at the rudeness of the owner's behavior. She did not shut up even for a minute. Rude, Rude, Rude....
