This restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, and is a convenient 5-7 minute walk up Main Street from the ferry dock and harbor.

The breakfast menu is varied: eggs, omelettes, crepes, pancakes, blintzes, waffles, oatmeal, bagels and lox, etc. We opted for fresh fruit crepes and made-to-order eggs. The server was flexible in letting us customize our orders to get exactly what we wanted. We really enjoyed our breakfasts.

The dinner menu also had a lot of variety: appetizers, pizza, crab cakes, filet mignon quesadilla, various salads, pita platters, panini, surf and turf, chicken, burgers, Mac and cheese, many Greek dishes, many Italian dishes, etc.

We went with Greek food: spanakopita, moussaka, gyro, and pita. Everything was very good.

This is a small cozy restaurant. Locals and tourists frequent this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable.

We parked at a town lot in the center of downtown, and walked about 100 yards to the restaurant. There is also on-the-street parking. The restaurant is in the middle of downtown, so I recommend the town parking lot, which charges a fee unless you have a Port Jeff parking sticker.

Joey Z Pita offers its guests the very finest in Greek, Italian, and American cuisine. Butternut squash soup, pita platters, eggplant, steaks, salads, paninis, wraps, moussaka, and baklava! It's all great!

Visited for the Charles Dickens festival. Stopped in for breakfast and the owner Joey got us a table for 6 in about 5-10 minutes.
Loved the holiday spirit with Joey and staff wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. The service was excellent. Our food came out quick.
They always came around with coffee. Food was prepared as ordered, we had eggs Benedict, waffles and sausage wrapped in pancakes. Very friendly service!

Breakfast seems to be a big thing in Port Jeff so get used to waiting for it. This was our second choice and I was glass that we ate here. Joey Z was the proprietor and was there to greet us had to wait apron. 10 minutes but it was well worth it. The omelette was light and fluffy, home made home fries and sausage. Excellently prepared and fantastic coffee to boot. Also sampled are the fried eggs cooked to perfection too. Not a fancy place at all just really good food.

First, "Z Pita" also dba "Joey's Pita Cafe". The outside of the restaurant is remarkably unremarkable. Thus, the customers are locals and people who know where to go. Because we were new to the place we ordered "safe" i.e. burgers and such. Big mistake. The menu is rich and so is the food. The interior is warm, welcoming and comfortable. The servers are actually "charming" - not a word I use freely. We were left with nothing to complain about. The atmosphere, food, service were all exemplary - for this type of place. Small, but interesting point. The business card reads "Host, Joey Zee, a friend you haven't met.". As it turned out the man who was minding the store was, indeed, Joey Zee and a brief conversation showed that Joey is remarkably house (restaurant) proud and involved in every step of a meal. Just go!
