New Garden has been in town forever it seems. It even literally rose from the ashes after a fire years ago and it has definitely improved with age. They have redecorated which is nice and they still have that horrible fresco (with horses) that is so ugly it is camp and I would now miss it terribly if it was gone.
I have had lunch and dinner here so many times I cannot count and the thing about it is that you get a pretty good meal for your buck. I notice that through the years they have gone with the times and whereas it was a Chinese restaurant, it is now more pan Asian. You can certainly get many Japanese dishes, sushi, Thai food, etc. All of it is very good.......not to die for .....but certainly very tasty and very plentiful and very, very inexpensive. We always bring visitors here especially from abroad as they marvel at the array of food and the excellent value. The staff is very nice....helpful and sweet and the dining room is comfortable ...a bit dark ...but comfortable with no one rushing you out. Kids are welcome....families of all ages and sizes and appetites are welcome. All in all, a very comfortable place with good food and to steal an advert from the radio...You don't need a second mortgage to enjoy a nice dinner!
