“Not too bad of a place”
Review of B. Forman Park

There is plenty of room for picnics, however you have to be careful of the time of year. When the lake turns, the smell is awful. Otherwise, there are baseball diamonds and a playground for the kids. There is no drinking allowed. There is no place to spend the night, but there are a few B&B's close by.

Forman Park is a lovely county park in Williamson, NY on Lake Ontario. There are many places for picnics and there are swings and slides for children. It's a great place to watch the sunset, or sunrise or just catch a breeze and watch the water and often the ducks and or geese. There is no swimming.

This is a beautiful, quiet, quaint park. It's right on the shores of Lake Ontario in the town of Pultneyville, NY
They have bathrooms, a lodge you can rent (no alcohol) , swings, picnic tables, lots of grounds to walk around

We needed a good place to walk the dogs while vacationing, and B. Forman Park was perfect. A nice sized park with big trees, benches overlooking Lake Ontario, a water fountain, a play area for kids, and it was kept up. The grass was clipped, and we didn't encounter any doggie doo even though other people walked their dogs as well. We carried baggies to pick up our dogs' droppings, and deposited them into the many garbage cans all around the park. Some of the trees were gnarly and knotty, creating interesting photo opps. You cannot, however, go down to the water. I was grateful that the other dog owners all walked their dogs on leashes as the park requires. So often dog owners ignore such things and spoil the joy for others. This was refreshing.

This park is best used for picnic and quiet periods of just relaxing. Kick back with the kids and maybe skip some rock down the shoreline. There is no swimming at this park, but it's still a nice place to spend some time at the water's edge. Also, they say that there is a ball field here, although I've never seen it. (It's probably just a little further in to the park. This is a great place to just relax....I highly recommend it.
