Jumbo shrimp and white bean appetizer exceptional. But the roasted duck leg was the best I've had in years-- perfectly crispy skin and moist, tender meat. Industrial shabby chic ambience, pleasant staff.

Excellent selection of inventive food - locally sourced - their service is always attentive. Great bar and eating at the back bar next to the oven is a treat.

We were a party of 4, looking for a comfortable place to have dinner. Our B&B suggested the Market Street restaurant, and we are so glad that they did!

At first we were concerned about the noise level, but they seated us in a quiet spot, easy for conversation.

We all wound up choosing pasta dishes, each selection was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice bread basket. The service was excellent, very attentive but not overwhelmingly so. We shared a yummy dessert, 3 scoops of gelato.

And here's the kicker. We left the restaurant and were walking down the street to our car. One of the waitstaff came running after us. Turns out that my husband left his credit card on the table after paying the bill. The young waiter wanted to be sure that we got our card back. Really, how nice is that? Saved us a lot of aggregation.

I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Good basic food, pizza, pastas, salads and appetizers. The service was spotty. We did OK but some folks around us were not a fortunate. Good place for a small group on a lunch or dinner break who would like a tasty, moderately priced meal. Not upscale but it is relaxed, easy going and has decent food. Something on the menu for everyone in your party.

Hostess (dark-haired twenty-something) was very rude yesterday evening, July 21st. I called in advance to ensure the restaurant could accommodate us on a Friday evening. When we arrived at 5pm, I told her it was my first time there, that we had heard good things, and asked for a quiet table in the dining room. Her response was "I'lll decide where to seat you". She brought us to a table immediately adjacent to the bar and, as we sat down, said "you need to be out by 6:30". That's it! No smile! No "welcome to Market Street"! In fact, not a single welcoming word! We got up and went across the street to The Amsterdam where we had a wonderful meal with friendly customer service.

Note to owner/manager of Market Street: train your staff to welcome folks properly and provide customer service! In case you haven't noticed, you have strong competition. Note to Rhinebeck visitors: there are a number of good restaurants in Rhinebeck. Skip Market Street. Try The Amsterdam, Calico, The Local, or Le Petit Bistro.
