My family and several families from our team stayed here for our week at Cooperstown. The property could be beautiful but it looks like hoarders own it. There is clutter, dust and mildew everywhere. The common areas are very hot and our room was as well despite a window air conditioner. The staff were nothing but wonderful! The girls that were in charge of cleaning were professional and polite. I witnessed the owner being rude to his staff on different occasions. We chose not to eat at the restaurant because of the condition of the property and the smell. There were dogs and cats in the lobby area and cat feces visible. There was also unsecured paperwork and information in the lobby area likely related to past and present reservations. The outside area is cluttered and looks unorganized with equipment from past catering or events scattered throughout the property. I would suggest wearing water shoes as the swimming area is not maintained. My daughter cut her foot on broken glass.
I would not recommend staying at the Lake House in Richfield Springs. It's a shame too because the setting is so beautiful.More
