We only were here for 2 nights, thankfully. We booked because it "sounded" nice. The hotel room beds in our unit were ok, the bedding quality was ok, the towels did not scratch. That's about the only nice things I can say about the place. Housekeeping obviously does not know what a crevice tool is. The dead bug on the ceiling and the one on the bathroom floor were there when we got there and when we left, they're probably still there. The hotel conditions need a very big overhaul.
Also, they new they were going to have quite a bit of customers that wknd., they could have had the TV satellite turned on. 4 stations, ESPN, YES, Golf, and Informaional stations where the offerings. Oh, the staff in the Pro Shop and dining room where very nice and the breakfasts offered along with your room were very, very good. Beautiful area, panoramic views, quiet, but really do something about the condition of the rooms, decks, and outside steps. You need to spend money to make money.

So... the places they call Estates are really townhouses in front of the lake, they are very nice and clean but there was an issue. Their kitchens are not functional because of something related to a permit the manager mentioned. Anyway you have the option to stay here which is one of the nicest places in Roscoe and pay the "Estates" with disabled amenities or go to a motel.

The grounds were fine but the lodging facilities are pretty nasty. Ripped up carpet, dingy rooms, antiquated plumbing & bathroom fixtures. Probably a nice place in the 50's, but clearly no renovation or investment since then. The deer off the back porch were pleasing but in no way made up for what is an otherwise crumbling property.

This place was recommended by my son's camp as a place for parents to
stay over visiting weekend. The golf course appealed to me so I booked it without seeing pictures of the rooms. When we arrived, we found out that the place had just reopened, the pool was empty, and the "inn" was more like the Bates Motel. The contrast between the accommodations and the golf facility was unreal. The Grill was nice, the views gorgeous, the golf pro terrific. The front nine was closed,
but I took a golf lesson which was great. However, the room was a disaster. Clean, but shoddy construction, cheap furniture, weird bathroom and no TV remote. We had one decent pillow and when we tried
to get better ones, we were told to go into an empty unlocked room next to ours and take them off the bed. The golf pro was the only person we could speak to at 8pm and he eventually found the linen room and got us decent pillows. The bed was awful and the sliding screen door didn't lock. When someone entered the room above ours, it
sounded like his footsteps were going to break through the ceiling. We could hear every word of his telephone conversation as well. I've attached pictures here, good and bad. Go there for golf or tennis. Don't sleep there!
