Now renamed "New Number One," the newness has not been good. We ordered at a time when they were not super busy. They made each dish in succession, so the first sat cooling while the next was made, and so on. Each dish had the same mix of ordinary vegetables, none oriental. The sauces were the same, despite name differences, and their idea of very spicy was bland. The new operators are just coasting, turning out lowest common denominator food. Edible, basic. And the dumplings were commercial frozen reheats, as far as I could tell.

A typical run of the mill Chinese take out place. has the usual lunch specials and the array of Chinese fast foods. The pick up order was on time and the food was of fesh quality

Better than average chinese food for take out. Well priced, friendly owner and staff. Been around forever. Disregard less than sparkling appearance. The food is tasty and inexpensive.

Instead of stir frying the meat in a dish, they boil the hell out of it. Then they dose it with too much sauce. I mainly go here for soup as the rest of the dishes just don't make the grade.

Had their duck and also orange beef last night, as well as dumplings. The dumplings were still as good as ever, but the two main dishes had gloppier saltier saucing and the vegetables had been downgraded, consisting of sauteed salad, no Chinese ingredients except a few tiny snow peas. Included sauteed cucumber for some reason. First disappointing result in many years. I hope it was just an off night, but the missing ingredients make for an ominous future.
