Review of Divers'Ocean

The diving center is located adjoining the Le Grand Bleu Hotel at Trou Aux Biches. There are two dives scheduled on daily basis, one in the morning at 0900 hrs and the other in the afternoon at 1300 hrs. It is advisable to pre-book your diving slot a day before to avoid last minute inconvenience.

They provide us with diving costumes, fins, breathing apparatus and oxygen cylinders. It doesn't really matter if you know swimming or not as they thoroughly train you prior to the main dive in shallow sea waters. They guide you on how to control our breathing, how to depressurize yourself, how to take out water from the mask and the use of hand gestures beneath the water. They then take you to the diving spot at the coast off Trou aux Biches about 20 mins far into the ocean. Dive lasts for about 30 mins for depth of about 8-10 metres. They charge you approx. 2500 MUR per person for scuba diving with additional 1500 MUR for diving photography. They also take care about hygeine and each diving apparatus is cleaned with sanitized water before and after the dive.

You feel nervous just before the dive, but once you get relaxed and control your breathing, you won't feel to come out of the water. Beneath the ocean, at the sea bed, its a completely mesmerizing world all together with variety of marine fauna that you experience.

The staff, Ravi, Bobby, Akshay and Doraine are really friendly and go out of their way to help their clients. This was my first scuba dive. While I knew little bit of swimming, my wife did not know swimming and was little afraid to dive in open sea. But, they made sure everything was fine and we enjoyed our first scuba dive together to the fullest.

Very friendly diving school. Choice of 2 dives in the morning, and 1 dive on the afternoon. Short walk to the boat. Good quality gear.

booked the diving. aligned to meet on Sunday to align for diving schedule.
arrived on Sunday 3-4pm : shop is closed. hotel staff does not feel too concerned and inform us that shop opens at 8am-8:30am on Monday. so be it. Mail Sunday evening remains of course unanswered.
arrive on Monday like 8:20am. 1st dive trip is supposedly already gone diving (except a guy that comes back and asks for a change of fin). the lady in the office does not know about us, does not feel that diving immediately is possible, does not really know whether diving for the week is OK as we are not on her logbook and has not been given any instruction.
net : she does not care much what happens and how she can help.
we went to Blue Water divers who behaved professionally.

If scuba is what you are looking for then this is the place you should choose. Bobby the instructor was really good and the team really helps you to enjoy every bit.
Worth the money they charge.

This was out of the world. It was my first time and the only time when i went to the sea bed. They took me in a ferry to the center where the underwater tours commence. One by one the tourists were going down to the sea bed. we had to remove all clothes and wear oxygen masks and footwear. At first I hesitated but then there is beauty inside.

The guide takes you down to the sea floor by descending from the boat or ferry. Then I was very afraid being supported by the mask only. The guide is experienced and help you and gives you confidence. When you see others around you, then you feel comfortable. The guide shows around for 20 minutes. There are colorful corals and fish and you will definitely enjoy.. It is totally quiet and never have we experience such quietness and calmness. after roaming for sometime then you are guided back to the boat. Then you miss what you have just seen.

So enjoy..
