We spent a week at this small, family owned and operated property. The guest room was large and very clean. The view was FABULOUS! The beds were comfortable and the evenings were quiet!
We had our 18 ft. bow rider in tow, so, the convenience of being able to dock our boat on their docks and see our boat from our balcony, was priceless!
Now, as with ANY lakeside property on Seneca Lake, the approach to the parking area is steep! But if you take it slow and follow their signage, its not a problem and the parking is right outside your entrance for the motel rooms.
We also spent some time at the "Tiki Hut" bar, which is just before the docks. We had lots of fun and good conversations with both the employees and other travelers!
Before we departed, we made our reservations for next year! All in all, we had a WONDERFUL vacation stay at the Anchor Inn and Marina!
Can't wait for next year!

We stayed at the Anchor Inn during our visit to Watkins Glenn. Lucy, Lindsey and Will made our stay great. They made recommendations on places to eat and were very nice and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We rented the pontoon boat and had a wonderful cruise down Seneca lake.

If you are looking for a clean room at a reasonable price with great view of the lake, then this would be a good choice. Rooms are clean and well-appointed with a large tv, table and chairs and a lot of room to spread out. If you are looking to be in the middle of the action of Watkins Glenn, know that this property is located outside of the downtown area. You could walk, but it would be quite the hike. Also, the other reviews are not exaggerating. The driveway to access this property is daunting, especially if you are driving a motorcycle.Think steep inclines and loose gravel. All and all, this property is a good value for the money. Have a cup of coffee on the porch outside of your room. The view is gorgeous.

So this was the relaxing portion of the 10 day trip and overall things were fine. Of course, you can't beat the view of the lake and that was the draw. Sitting outside our room or down at the tiki bar was relaxing and awesome. The room itself needed some work. It was a decent size but outdated. Not a huge deal but old style blankets and bedspread, towels ok, newer TV but the picture looked like it was starting to go, pretty thin walls so we could hear folks yapping and snoring. We just grabbed a juicebox in the morning but very basic continental choices. Our room didn't have a fridge so we loaded up on ice. But you could walk to town in 25 min and we found some great stuff there. Also visited wineries that were very close and the Gorge trail was just on the other side of the main drag. Would return.

We stayed in one of the two remaining cabins. First we had to drive up a gravel path w/ 45-degree angle of attack to get to said cabin. When we finally managed to get up there, and not trip & fall on the broken up cement blocks that blocked our path to the cabin (granted they removed these on day 2 w/out our prompting), we walked into an something out of the 60's... a small TV w/ an integrated VCR, holes in the walls and doors, venetian blinds that were missing controls on some windows and had been mangled on others.

Then there was the air conditioner that leaked water all over the floor of the main room.

Then there were the black ants crawling around the rooms that ensured that we'd keep our suitcases zipped up at all times.

Then there was the little envelope that greeted us stating who would be cleaning our room and urging us to tip. The only problem is that over three days that person never entered the cabin. The towels were never replaced, the beds never made, nothing.

But at least the view of Lake Seneca in the morning was sublime.

Room Tip: Stay away from the two remaining cabins
