Western Aus itself is quieter than the East Coast and the father you go from Perth the quieter it gets. This hotel reflected that, the rooms themselves were good, without being over modern but not old fashioned. Perfectly fine in fact. You are very much left to get on with things, and all rooms have facilities if you want to cook in. Late check in (after 5.00pm) has to be arranged an don't expect much going on anywhere after 8.00pm, in fact most people eat around 6.00pm.

Locally, not much, the attached bar and restaurant were actually pretty good. live music and a pretty varied menu. A pizza shack too. Also there is a bakers and general store attached. Both as if you've gone back to the 1950's. but quaint and the store does good sandwiches to take away.

Staff a bit surely in the hotel, but all the catering staff (all virtually surfers earning cash) were nice and chilled as you'd expect.

A car is a must in this area to explore the Margaret River region and vineyards or get into the local towns. There are no taxis available. There is a very good beach a 10 minute walk.

This is a very quiet, relaxed part of the world, simple pleasures, although we did find a couple of good restaurants, most of which are attached to the vineyards.

The Seashells Yallingup remains a quality resort with a high level of presentation and comfort. We have stayed a few times over the past 10 years and haven't been disappointed yet. We had a 1 bedroom apartment that is very well equipped and very comfortable.

Room Tip: If you can afford to, book an apartment. They just have lovely facilities and very roomy. We had a ground floor room which was very quiet and steps out onto the lawn with very easy access to Caves House.

Yes, very disappointed that we were not staying longer at this delightful resort. We should have been staying another night but because of a flight change by big bad Quantas, we had to return to Perth a day earlier. When we drew up at Seashells, I thought, this is not so impressive, but once inside it was everything anyone could wish for. Once through the door of our apartment, it seemed to go on for ever, first, the kitchen, then a spacious lounge, bedroom with king size bed and modern bathroom. There were even a dishwasher and washing machine. The setting is beautiful and peaceful and I would have loved more time to explore. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: There are only three levels and we were on top level, which was fine. All rooms face same direction

Hi Lindagreenacre,
I was concerned when I first read the title of your review!
We are so sorry you were not able to stay longer with us due to the Qantas flight time change. Hopefully you can come back to Australia again and stay at Seashells Yallingup for a few extra nights to enjoy your stay to the full!
Kind regards

We spent 3 nights at the Seashells and enjoyed every minute. The serviced room (we did not chose one with a kitchen) was clean and bright with a lovely balcony overlooking the grounds. The hotel gardens are stunning. It was a perfect base to explore the beautiful coastline including Yallingup (local), Eagle Bay, Smiths Beach, Sugarloaf Rock etc. The location was perfect for us - surrounded by beautiful coastline but with all the advantages of Dunsborough town just down the road. We hope to return.

Hi BanNGuildford,
Thank you for taking the time to review our apartments, any feedback received is always welcome. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found it the perfect place to explore the surrounding area.
It’s worth noting that our apartments are not serviced daily, but the studio rooms are given a daily freshen up as there is no laundry or kitchen facilities in them.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Yallingup in the future.
