Our experience here was great. My wife and I came into town for one night for a concert at Harrah's. It is conveniently located. We stayed in the "second building" with a balcony looking out to the river. It was peaceful and the room darkening shades allowed us to sleep in a little longer than normal. The staff was also very friendly and fast during the check-in process.

We have stayed here before & had a good experience. If you stay in the main bldg.in the renovated rooms. Don't stay in 149!! The whirlpool tub started filling up from the drain at 2am Sun morning. Smelled like sewage!! Called front desk, no answer. Packed up to leave, saw a man behind the desk, went in to tell him about it. All he did was argue that we didn't call & then told us we had to turn off the faucets. Duh!! My husband is a facilities maint. We never touched the tub. After the dirty toilet, cobwebs & the rusty panel on the tub, we weren't about to touch it. No response to my calls from management, so after 4 days I called Choice Hotels. Decide for yourself, there has to be more hospitable places to stay!

The Cherokees used to call Cherokee Qualla Town & William Holland Thomas, the white Principal Chief of the Eastern Band had his biggest store here. This was a really nice place 10 years ago, & while it is still quiet & peaceful most of the time, some things have not been upgraded. I really needed a business center to print out tickets for a concert at the casino, but they do not have one. They were super nice about letting me use their computer, but it is an infrastructure amenity that is needed in todays environment. Finally, their advertised free breakfast was not only limited, they literally just let it run out 45 min. before the published closing time & could not keep up with the demand. People waiting for paper coffee cups or any food at all just ruins the intent of free breakfast.

Nice, quiet and peaceful. Had lower floor balcony, very handy for handicap accessibility. None of those damp carpet smells you sometimes find in hotels. Clean, operational tv and bath. Did not partake of free breakfast, we're late sleepers.

Room Tip: Definitely want River/Creek Side

This is an older Quality Inn but in fairly good condition. Nice river view and balcony with chairs to sit out on. Within a mile or so from the Casino and downtown shops. Great price for the fall season. A bit noisy when people moved in next door. Plenty of hot water for showers. Loved having coffee maker and fridge in room.

Room Tip: River view
