The Old Jail Museum is an interesting look into what it was like between 1912 to 1972 for the “more mischievous” citizens of Hayesville. The cells are still intact and all the other rooms have been restored to reflect life in those times. Even though it is a very small two story building the staff was very informative and answered every question we had. There is no charge for the tour but, donations are appreciated, I’m sure. It is worth the stop.
