The Ellerson House with all it's exceptional amenities made our getaway so special and memorable. The house is equipped with every kitchen need (the only fireplace we used was in the kitchen to take the chill off.), The generous towels supply for use in the beautifully remodeled bathrooms was greatly appreciated. All slept comfortably in the linen supplied beds. Lots of us used the gaming/ recreational building with much enjoyment. The charming town of Hot Springs provided enjoyable restaurants and warm North Carolina ambiance. We came to hike and were not disappointed with the nearby hiking opportunities. Absolutely first rate in every way!

Just had an amazing four days at Ellerson House! We're relaxed and rejuvenated after spending a quiet few days as a couple, then ending the weekend with a dinner party for 16. This beautiful property is on the National Register of Historic Places, but the owners have modernized with luxury amenities such as a hot tub, Sonos stereo system controlled throughout the house with a smartphone app, and a separate barn with billiard table, foosball, ping pong, darts and an outdoor volleyball court and short ropes course. A trail leads you down to the French Broad River with a private put-in for your tube or for fishing. The owners seem to have thought of everything! This is a family-friendly property or, you could just create a luxury weekend in the mountains for you and your special other and never have to leave the property--just relax and watch the sun go down behind the quaint town of Hot Springs!
We had an incredible time at this newly renovated and beautifully appointed home. Attention to detail is evident throughout and the owners have done a nice job in making this feel like a home away from home. The living space is nice and open with several areas to congregate and hang out. The bedrooms are very comfortable and cozy, the hot tub was the hit and the game room in the barn is perfect for teenagers to have their own hangout away from the adults. We spent many hours sitting on the front porch and taking in the views. The French Broad River is within walking distance and it's an easy drive to the town of Hot Springs where there are several tasty restaurants, the famous hot springs and plenty of outdoor activities to keep everyone happy and busy. I will definitely rent this home again!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully renovated and restored historic home! The house sits so prominently on a hill overlooking the quaint town of Hot Springs. It is so nicely appointed and furnished and was very comfortable and spacious. The hardest decision for us was which room to lounge in and which one of the four fireplaces to use! All of the fabulous furnishings and amenities made our stay very comfortable. The view from the front porch was fabulous and the hot tub was a great way to end each day. With the Appalachian trail, the French broad river, and the natural hot springs so close to the property, there was plenty of outdoors things to do. We will definitely return to this historic home on the hill!
