We had a great time and caught some fish. A few large mouth bass and other fish as well. We had so much fun the evening we went out we went back the next morning. It cost us about 200 for 2 hours each time for 4 people. We really enjoyed it and look forward to going back.

Captain Steve is super friendly, personable,  knowledgable, and he really knows Lake Lure! We really liked Captain Steve, just a great guy overall. For the day, he offered to focus on fishing, scenery, or a bit of both.

We opted to focus on fishing and caught 11 fish that day....8 White bass (a few over 16 inches!), 2 perch,  and 1 Large mouth bass! He let us pick our fishing options and asked our preference for our target fish, all the while giving us solid fishing techniques and tips.

Lake Lure and the surrounding area is beautiful, which makes the overall  experience that much more  enjoyable. Afterward we hiked Chimney Rock, including to the waterfall! which was a terrific bonus!

Thanks Captain Steve!

Captain Steve took my two boys and me out fishing and we had an incredible time. We aren't very experienced fisherman, but Captain Steve made it easy. We had almost non-stop action all the while enjoying the beauty of the lake. Captain Steve was able to get my boys excited about fishing and the outdoors to the point they did not even ask for their electronics. Captain Steve is a real professional and I would recommend him highly.

From the time capt. Steve arrived to pick us up we knew that we were in for an enjoyable day on the water. We caught fish and missed plenty (fishermen fault). Capt. Steve knew lake lure very well and put us on fish immediately. After just a short time we felt like capt. Steve was a good friend of the family. He is very patient! Being a teacher he brings that sense to the water and gave us great tips on where to fish and how to work the lures. Being a former captain myself, I understand how things work on the water. Capt. Steve did not disappoint! Thank you for the enjoyable day on the water and we look forward to doing it again because we will be back. If you are looking for a captain on Lake Lure you will not be disappointed in Capt. Steve!

We had a wonderful time on the trip -- Captain Steve was a great guide. He came prepared with many different poles and lures to try, so we were able to switch approaches quickly. He knew the lake inside and out. We caught many white bass and perch.

Captain Steve was also very patient. There were many instances where we snagged trees and (accidentally) casted onto docked boats. His lightheartedness and jokes made us fishing novices feel comfortable. We'd imagine that Captain Steve would be a great choice if you have younger children.

It's also worth mentioning that his boat is spacious and comfortable. He even put up the canopy when he heard my mom wanted to come and watch us fish!
