Stayed 2 nights here recently and booked it due to the location of Taiping street, which is next door, and it's closeness to the main railway station. Front desk staff does not speak much English and didn't seem too happy to check us in. The rooms were sufficient but the 'one night stand' calling card in the door was a bit of surprise. Beds were comfy and the view from the room was nice. The small bathroom was well appointed. Wifi was ok. We had breakfast one morning but really shouldn't have bothered. There was virtually no food left and what was left was a spoonful of cold rice, and some hard bread for congee. They do serve hot orange juice and hot water. The lady at breakfast was quite lovely though and very welcoming. During our second night there was some furniture assembling going on with power tools out the front of the lifts, which was near our room. When we went to check out the following day, the floor was still covered in saw dust, power cables and half assembled furniture strewn across the elevator entrance. No OHS here!
The location to Taiping street was perfect and after walking up and down for a few hours it was great to go next door for a rest. Taxis are easily flagged out the front of the hotel.More
